time to make it forum official

Hey all. I've been on here for a little while now, but decided it was time to make my mod thread. I have an 04 xb12r with about 16k on her. I got it from a friend of mine. Now for the obligatory proof.

When I got it, the bike was all black. It had a few cosmetic things wrong with it. Some were done by my friend, and some were done by the owner before him. That's why I decided to paint it blue. I have quite a few other little things I want to do to it, but this is where I'm at right now.

that would be electron blue. code came from a 2000 Honda.

Ive seen that blue plastic/gold wheel scheme on a triumph daytona 675. very attractive combo! my .02 - gold levers would really tie it together.

Question - did you simply sand/prime/paint? what did you spray with? and did you clearcoat? just askin cause I've thought of doing mine and yours looks pretty proffesional

i have a friend that went to school for autobody. i sanded it down, primed, and got the paint from napa. he sprayed it with his gun in my garage. I still want to paint the pegs and top triple black and the heel guards gold. also looking at some gold asv levers with blue adjusters. kind of want a double bubble windscreen too, but i can't decide between smoke and amber.

Get smoke, I personally hate colored windscreens I think they look corny IMO
