"You were asking about header removal. The front is pretty easy but the rear is a complete PITA requiring engine rotation, which requires disassembling half the bike and even then, it is REALLY tight to get some of the header bolts. Again a complete PITA. Not something I would do again unless I was doing it anyway to check the valves"
there is a WAY easier method to remove rear header pipe which is to drop the swingarm after you remove the lower shock to swingarm bolt there is a large amount of room between the frame and swingarm into which you can use a socket wrench and extensions to remove the 4 bolts holding rear header in place. I had mine off in less than an hour and only was held up when i didn't realize that the screw in O2 sensor needed to be removed from the pipe to allow it to rotate enough to come out
