Just got a 2009 Scg. It's awesome. But; I'm about 6'1" with a 33" inseam and I am realizing that an xb12s would have been more ideal for my size. I had compared specs before purchasing, just wasn't prepared for how compact it is in comparison with the "S". Had my wife photo me sitting on the bike and it just looks small. Any helpful thoughts? There seem to be a lot of those on this forum. I would really like to trade for an 09 xb12s all black like my scg and with less than 10,000 miles. Mine has about 7600. What are the chances? Any takers?

^^^[up] what Thaloc said. these bikes are small, the S is only a little taller. does your scg have the low seat? you could get the tall seat.

I'm 6"1 270 lbs and had an XB9S last year and people said I looked to big on it but it was fun as hell! Felt like a BMX bike with a motor and it was ALWAYS eager to lift the front. Ride it and enjoy the hell out of it![up]

There are many including myself that are your size or bigger that ride scg's. I went with the Knight Designs 2" drop pegs as well as custom highway pegs to stetch my legs out more. They are small compact bikes, that's the idea...

Thanks for your thoughts. I'm stoked to have the bike no doubt. I'm just thinking in retrospect that if I had been able to compare side to side the S would have been my choice. I think I'll look into the drop pegs first just to let my knees relax a bit. I already adjusted the brake and shifter levers down.

Isn't the scg suspension the setup you need to drop a bolt or a s?? If so I'll trade you my bolt forks, rear shock and kick stand.

I'd even be willing to pay for shipping both ways

Yea it is but there is about 50 people in front of us on the trade list so chances are i would just buy them

But don't put 2" drops on it. You will scape pegs

I would most definitley look into buying a regular height seat first. That frickin stock SCG seat is nothing more than board wrapped in vinyl. As far as the drop pegs go if you ride track style then yes 2"drop pegs will increase your dragging clearance danger greatly.
If you ride according to all state laws then you should be just fine.[up] http://knightdesignllc.com/ also sells 1" inch drop pegs btw [up]
