Its not too hard to prepare for B (Beginer) class, basicly bike in good repair, tires, brakes, tape over or remove lights, remove mirrors. There are plenty of fast people in B, Go to the NESBA website and download the manual it should answer any questions you have. I've only done two track days so far but I have learned a lot. It is the most fun you can legally have on a bike.

Not in B group, down load the manual from nesba. The bike has to be in good repair.I run Michelin Power Pures, and have my oil drain and fill plugs as well as oil filter safety wired.

I may be interested now. I would need help doing the safety wires though. I am running the Michelin Ct 2s.

any body going to VIR this sunday and monday? ... i kinda need a ride.
i have all my own stuff and gear, just no truck or trailer. i live in portsmouth, va

Cresent, I live near Richmond, If you ever get up this way I can help you with safety wiring. It is super easy when you see how it is done.
Nilla, we are heading to VIR Friday the 6th, and coming back the 7th or 8th.

I pass Richmond all the time. I am trying to sell my Mustang so I can get a truck and trailer. I just sold my other bike to help with the funds. Just one thing left.

I just recently went to Reg Pridmores CLASS track day at Streets of Willow in Rosemond, CA. Awesome track day with instructors that really want to help you be smooth on the track and off the track. Highly recomended. They are having a track day at laguna Seca this year. I will be attending.

Jerry, who are you doing track days with? i signed up with TPM again this year.

19, if i lived on the west coast ... there would be alot of things i'd do.

Not up there with you Va and WV guys but some day I will get there. My 1125 and I haven't missed a track day at PBIR (Palm Beach International Raceway) and HMS (Homestead Miami Speedway) since Sept. 2011. Hooked bad. Prepare to start selling blood for tires and entrance fees.

I've done track days with TPM and Motorcyclexcitement. But I mostly race. I'll be at Summit Point next weekend.

I like to think I'll have the fastest Buell there. Unfortunately, it'll have the slowest rider onboard.

I race in Thunderbike with CCS, and occasionally Supertwins. Next year, I'll be able to add LW Formula 40 (I'm 39). If you're at stock displacement for an XB12, you can add LWSS, LWSB, LWGP and GTL with CCS. WERA isn't as Buell friendly.

Cool, after I get a few more track days under my belt, I want to at least try racing. How hard is to get a race license for CCS?

It's easy. Take an approved race school and pay $110 for the license. A lot of track day providers run CCS approved race schools.

It's really easy to get involved in amateur racing. Hell, they let me in so how selective can they be. :)
