your best bang for your buck would be evo first civic second sti dead last, im not listing domestic cuz there are way to many options to choose from
 
heres my 1/2 owned civic monster my boy drives this while i run my lil bros evo this honda made 820 hp n a lil over 500 ft lbs

all together this has about 25000 in it not including the shell thats worthless lol
 
really fast sti's are rare thats probably y delta one quickly posted a vid of a evo cant find to many sti's..... tho i no there out there

but I didn't think full race prep was an equal comparo, BTW the AMS is still street legal and driven in Chicago

if I haden't gotten layed off I would have an ESX STI right now, not because its a HS dream but because its AWD and well handling car that I can still have fun with in a Michigan winter (and another audi especially a new one is just too much money/weight to thrash around with).
but I used to rally cross an old Audi (200 quattro turbo 5cyl 2.2L with elec. locking rear diff torsen center diff running 1.5 bar of boost) a few years back, so my idea of fun in a car is obviously a little different :D
we would find a farmer that would let us tear up his field a bit for some money over the winter (sometimes in the fall after harvest too)

a friend I served with had a stage 2 nearly stage 3 srt4 that was nuts off the line but on a 30 drop my mild modded VR6 jetta would eat him alive. he could never hang in the corners because he had the year before a front LSD was offered, I had a quaife differential installed

I was smart enough not to race him in the 1/4 because I would have only embarrassed myself LOL
and his was not putting down what yours does.
 
How come most threads that supermoto posts in quickly becomes a pissing contest...gets really old after awhile. Quit feeding him and just let him think that he is right.

i see i have a couple of haters that are always gonna follow me around on this forum ,but i guess thats what u have to settle for when your pockets are shallow , u should want to hear it from someone whos done it
 
you can't properly put a turbo on a buell for a $1000 and have it make good power and not kill the motor. Take a look at EricZ's bike on the other board. It is the cleanest install I have seen and I have been doing research for a LONG time. My guess if you do all the fab work yourself maybe $2000 to $2500. Your best bet is an external gated turbo with a blowoff valve and water injection to make the motor live with the stock compression.
 
REAL RACE CARS have AWD or RWD. Show me a FWD car that will ET like a RWD car with similar weight and power and it will be a 14 second 1/4 mile car or slower. No matter how you slice it you can't change the laws of physics, as much as we would like to. I would love to compete with an inline 4 bike with my tractor motor Buell but the only way I can is if I do more mods than they do, like me with a turbo and them without. The same is true when comparing a 4 cylinder FWD drive car and a V8 RWD car. If you want to go Quick in a 1/4 mile for the least amount of money go with a RWD V8 car. I am not into 4 cylinder stuff but I will give the few guys that posted on this thread that they make good power but at a BIG cost. If you put similar money into my kind of hot rod it would be MUCH quicker in the 1/4 mile for the same money spent. Just the laws of Physics.

thanks super. and dallas i havnt gotten a chance to look at it yet. but i will. and as for the argueing thats not what this site is about. seriously the **** front wheel guy im sry but not cool. ive seen some seriously fast ones even though im not a fan i give them their props. cool comes in many different forms. ive been around some fast cars so i know this. but seriously super u shouldnt rank on ppls wallets either. i mean u may be at a point in ur life that u can do all that stuff but not everyone is. its all in circumstances how much money u can blow. ex. a guy with a family and kids cant blow that much, or me a college student who has to pay all his stuff. u do what u can when u can. and just caus i dont want to spend ridiculous amounts of money doesnt mean i dont have it. just choosing what it goes towards.

so on this post ppl just drop the bs and be cool. talk bout cool stuff. like turbo buells. and just making a bit more power on some cool ass xb's. ;)
 
ericz said himself that if he was to do everything again, knowing what he knows now, after making the mistakes he made, it would still cost roughly $3500 for his kit. and his kit has everything you need, and it's all nicely done. if you're gonna do something, do it once, do it right, and spend the money you have to.

his bike has got to be SICK with 165hp, 135ft/lbs at the wheel...

I didn't mean for the last post to read as hating on you. After reading my post I can see where it could be taken that way. But please lets keep the bashing on fellow buellers to a minimum...i mean we are few and far between to begin with.

Back to the subject.

I think that I have a video that EricZ posted up on my computer somewhere. If someone would like I can post it on here for you guys to see. I wouldn't mind paying 3500 to get more power out of my bike. Lord knows that my wife would kill me...but easier to ask for forgiveness than permission right ;)
 
ok last post on cars here for me I swear

no it was not the fastest STI (just because the title says it does not mean its true) nor the only sti I found that was that fast. the title of fastest (last I checked) belongs to easy street motor sports (ESX) in a door slammer (all 4) AWD STI 8.02seconds

I cant find a 180+MPH civic so why don't you post yours?
best I found was very high 8's at just shy of 170mph and it was not a modern civic so it was smaller and weighed less.

FWD is not superior, sorry. If it were than why would companies spend millions developing RWD race cars?
I have never heard of a FWD F1 car or any top tier road race where a production car is not required?

trap speed does not win races what was your time?

the only one I have seen was his old setup with the turbo on the side with less power, and that video was sick as hell!!

damn thats awesome thats the same engine my wifes pt cruiser and caravan has less the turbo on the caravan.might have to do that to the pt though.didnt know you could get that kind of hp out of a 2.4 with stock head,intake,fuel rail,coil and cooling system.is that all turbo or do you spray also is trans stock.and does it need a dedicated fuel system for the juice?
