I don't think to many XB guys go outside if stock wheels, since there are so few that can compair with the OEM and I believe there are or is only one company that makes a wheel which can retain the ZTL rotor.

I agree with you on scrapping at such low speeds but the corner I took was quite sharp.

I can only hope the size in tire won't hurt me in the long run. I will keep all your info close in mind throughout the tires life span. So far so good.

Thanks again

Thanks for eveyone's input. Doe's anyone have pics of a buell with a 2oomm with notches cut in to the belt guard?

I see this post has bee reborn, so I will do a little update.

After a full season on these tire I have nothing bad to say. They stick in the corners look great and the size seemed to have zero effect on my handling.

But they have been put on my new bike with the Ss swing arm and Scg tail.

As far as pics with a cut belt guard havent seen one

This is probably a dumb question but its seems that the 200 tires are flat and square looking. Can you get a 200 tire that is higher and more "round"[confused]

I think they should fit?? The tires are pretty square.... My buddies 190 michelin looks wider than my 200

Here is a back shot of the 200mm, same as the first ones I posted. I think it is the width that gives it a more squared off look since it is so wide. It isnt going to be as rounded unless you go with a prper wheel sizes as well, which I am to cheap to spend the cash on a new rear wheel just to up the size of the tire 20mm, I am happy with the performance of the 200mm so I will stick with it.

Here is a side by side with a 180mm to my 200mm

My 190 now makes me feel insecure :(

200 looks good, good to know it did not affect handling too much. I like the handling of my 190 better than the 180

Yeah Buellchick is going to up size to a 200mm on her next set of tires, she always comments to me how much better she thinks it looks than the 180mm.

Tire envy........... Gotta love it.:D

So with the 200 vs 180 or 190. The 200 is actualy lower? I dont want to loose any hight in the rear. is it the brand that makes it low and flat? Is there a brand that keeps it round and wide?

The tire is No different in height, and every name brand will give you a slight difference in the radius of the tire tread and the overall diameter of the entire tire.

The side by side picture may be a little decieving as mine does look smaller but I think it is just the angle and slight differances between the two bikes.

it should be about the same hight. the problem with trying to get a very rounded tire that is also wide is that you would need to add significant hight to it.

for example (these are just numbers and not accurate and everything is WAY oversimplified.)
if the height is 1/2 the width on a 180mm and produces a nice round tire with a good arc than the height off the rim is 60mm (or 120 total height of the tire measured from bottom to top)
ratio carries over to the larger tires as well.
so on a 300mm rear tire the height to keep the tire as round as a 180mm would be 150mm. this adds 90mm of height to the rear of the bike compared to the 180mm tire.

so no you probably wont find a wide and round rear tire. even on a widened rim the tire will remain flat.

that all said I think it looks good. I myself have been thinking about a 190 and a rim stretch.

what year is your bolt? I ask because the newer belts are a bit wider.

that and where did you get your plate mount?

I just measure my tire versus BuellChick's 180mm. My 200 is ~24.5", and her 180 is ~24".

All right I know this is an old thread but... I am wondering if you go to a 200 rear do you have to stretch the rear rim? extremelow did you stretch your rim?
