Just ordered my 200mm yesterday! Went with the Metzler Sportec M3's thanks to LeFox's (the big topic: tires) thread and the 200mm thanks to this thread.
Cool, yeah I have all of the paperwork to do to get my bike registered in NC and base stuff when I get back from the deployment so I think I am going to take the wheels to get powder coated and put new rubber on them right away. Thanks man
for those concerned with the height of the tire its self you can figure this out by using the size the stock tire is a 180/55zr17 180 is with 55 is percentage of the with to give you the height of the sidewall and 17 is the rim size so to get height in inches take with/25.4(to convert to inches) with in inches*aspect raito(middle number) then multiply by 2 because a tire is a circle and has a sidewall on top and bottom then add the rim size. So by doing this you get a stock tire(180/55zr17) sits 24.79" high and a 200/50zr17 is 24.87"
If anything I would go with a 190 its right inbetween stock and wide and you shouldn't have to do any modifications.and would be a bit safer for the width of the rear rim allthough I do like the look of the 200 but from reading a couple other posts I would personally go no with a 190
