Well my CR has been on the trickle charger and stands for the last week and a half. Well yesterday the temps got up to the 70's and there was a BBQ at the local dealership so I decided to ride the CR over. Well on the way I had my tach freeze up and voltage system and a comm error show up on the dash and nothing else worked. I have hash marks instead of speed and the tach needle was stuck at 4k. I pulled over and shut her down mind you it wasn't running any different then normal. Started back up and everything was back to normal. Rode out the event and everything was all good. I left and it did it to me 2 more times and when I got to another place I was going my friend who was in front of me said my headlight was burned out. He used to have an 1125 so I knew he wasn't meaning that my high was off so I looked and sure enough my low beam was burned out. Could a burned out headlight cause the weird problem I had? I had the stator go like 2 months ago and had it rewound by Ricks and these symptoms were not the same as a stator going. My battery was still charging and never dropped like it wasn't charging. I replaced the headlight last night when I got home but havent rode her yet to see if it does it again. Anyone ever have anything similiar? It also had the upgraded harness for the VR. Should I still run that after the rewind?
