Rode the hell out Of it and she loved every second of it. Ice cube said it best today was a good day. O I also put it back together at 2 o'clock this morning.

I rotated engine to diagnose and repair the newly developed oil leak on my 2008 XB12Scg with a whole 5000 miles on it.

Appears the rear cylinder rocker cover gasket let loose. Further inspection revealed the orange, o-ring type gasket is not thick enough to provide an adequate seal on the left, driver side, rear of the rocker cover.
The groove that is machined in the rocker box appears to have been cut too deep in the corner resulting in a no seal condition.
Cooling fan is covered in oil but still functional so far.
Can't HD make just one engine that doesnt leak oil before 25,000 miles?

Sold it. And cleaned it up for its new owner. He won't get to see it till he returns from the sandbox.

Well it was yesterday, but I serviced mine with amsoil and rode it about 10-15 miles and put it in the garage with the tender on it.
[up] for dave's oil change video

Wow this thread took off!

I really need to get myself some amsoil as well. I'm running the Mobil 1 stuff now, but if Amsoil is supposed to quiet things down a bit, I'm all for it.

I'm going to finish buttoning her up today.

Fresh amsoil 20/50, wix filter and a billet shift shaft arm from asb. Gonna treat her to a couple hundred miles of abuse this afternoon.
