In Tucson I go to a place called Bearing Belt and Chain they sell bearings and well belts and chains. I would think any fair sized town would have a bearing supply house. The only number they need is 6203 the 2RS means double sealed I believe. And thanks very much for the info as far as the size. I have about 24000 miles on my Ulysses and I'm thinking a spare set of bearings sounds like a good idea.

kona...yeah, not just because the manual states it. in some cases the bracket mount and wheel mount holes can elongate over time under loads and or loose hardware. any of those combinations can affect your belt directly, would you chance your safety or that of others if you didn't make certain of it's condition prior to reassembly...I only say that cause I'm an aircraft mechanic and have seen things you'd never think would happen, happen. at some point, no matter what the component is, it will wear, some minor, some major...it's all about limits and where you draw the line...just my 2 cents

If you elongate those holes you have serious problems. The bolts are static and tension a rubber belt. It would take a pretty big impact to deform the holes and bracket plasticly, and/or a spinning bolt to wear out the hole.

And no, every part does not wear.

alien: i see alot of good suggestions and banter back and forth about your pulley and bearings. here's what i found out from a friend of mine who was the company liaison between buell and mother H-D when buell still in business. he knows more about these machines than probably anyone i know. his quote to me was: the entire surface area of the pulley is treated with a silica nitride coating to make pulley running surface compatible with belt surface. if the running surface of the pulley shows no visible wear, scars, grooves and finish still fully intact, you can replace the bearings and move on. if the surface does in fact show any of the above the entire assembly should be replaced. hope that helps.

lunaticfringe...good intel, was wondering what the coating was when I replaced mine. think I'll turn the old pulley into a clock

:D

Just because....:D
