I hate when I roll into bike night and everyone stops what they are doing and stares. Then they ask like 150 questions and all I want is to get a freaking beer.

^ thats what i love about my buell zeroflat! its not an overpopulated gsxr!

as for dislikes;

heat
vibration and hands going numb
would like smoother shifting
lack of much needed parts
and more HP would be great
along with a 6th gear for hwy like others have said

That bike has only 2 fans.... me and the one that runs for 20mins when i shut it down. (y does every one hate buells[sad]) I love the loud, hot, quirky, two wheeled death machine even if it does regularly piss me off.

XB9SX... the electrical installations are grap and several othe details but at the end of the day I can confirm BuellyBagger

I love the loud, hot, quirky, two wheeled death machine even if it does regularly piss me off

rusty bolts... to its defense it spent months uncovered outside in a field waiting for me to come rescue it from the previous owner

guy lived about 30 min outside of Birmingham, Alabama. He could barely afford to make his payments and his clutch cable snapped one day he couldn't afford to have it fixed. So he put it in a truck and took it to his girlfriends house put it in her front yard ( a field) and put it on craigslist. Bad for him good for me bought it for pay off.

haha Naza - apart from SA guys, I wonder who will get that!

for me - just heat, availability of aftermarket parts in South Africa, small(ish) fuel tank, difficulty in getting headers off (don't have the energy to do engine drop or take suspension apart).

apart from that, i love it! ;)

I agree with you man.  Love all the quirks, heat, vibration, whirs and clunks.  Makes me feel like a world war one fighter pilot with tears in my eyes and bugs in my teeth.  I've done the jap thing and felt like a limp dick after every ride.  Sure the speed and reliability is there but most women know that when they done with the sewing machine.

lol, i know right. i used to own a 2008 hayabusa, and i currently ride a 2009 HD nightster, and a ninja 250r. by all mean, the busa is fast and all, but the buell is just so damn unique and special.
To the rest of you. Be a man.  Stop complaining.  Ride and accept the bike for what it is.  Thats why you bought it in the first place - not so?  Still not happy, then sign up for that sewing class.  You'll get all you want there including thread burn, papercuts and ink stains.

You bunch of moffies.

Everything I don't like about my buell is the reason I still have it. I have had bikes that left me with no complaints, I don't get as attached to them. A bike that has character is one that is worth keeping.

6th would be nice, but do I really need to do 150?
Can't really think of much else, which is why I have one.

Hey Guys,

I have a XB12r, after I ride for about a good hour when the bike is nice and hot. my bikes idles high, up around the 2rpm range. The only way I can lower the idle is when I drop back in to first gear, my other issue this happened to me yesterday, I was riding on the highway trying to pass car so I picked up more speed and then it started to putter. so then I pulled over revved it to see what it would do, when I revved it pass 5rpms it would putter with a pop. But the motor is strong. it doesn't knock or have any other sound. it runs fine, just when I rev it pass 5rpms its putter and pops any ideas?

I did not like a whole list of things;

Exhaust,
ECM,
Indicators,
Tail,
Mirrors,
Belt guard,
Etc.

So I changed them all!!!

LOl I am new to this and I very computer savy, I dont see the link to start a new thread HELP LOL

Things I would change:
Clunky transmission
Heat
Gas Tank Size (3.2 gal? really?)
Pinging at 3K-4.5K if the engine is hot (I need to do some reading on this one, I know it has come up before)

Things I love:
Simple design
50+ mpg
Belt Drive!!!
Unique looks
Unique design
Unique sound (for a sportbike)
HANDLING!

I love it all actually. If I had to nitpick, Id say I wish it had a gas gauge, but there is nothing on the bike that I dislike :)

Auxillary switch to have the ability to turn the fan on when you feel its neccasary in traffic
