well, if you've read through my posts you know by now that I have some pretty amazing luck..

I'm adding two new things to my list today:

First, when I came out to take a break from work in the form of a nice 5 minute ride around campus I noticed some A-hole decided they wanted my license plate.

it's bent off at the bolts with pieces of the corners still on it.

Next, I decided to go for a ride anyway and my shifter linkage lost the bottom bolt while I was riding, so I thought to myself "hey, why don't we just cruise on over to the ace hardware and get a new screw." Well, my bike had other plans. On my way over to the hardware store it cut the engine, I'm not sure why exactly, and when I pulled to the side of the road a guy gave me the finger because I was apparently an inconvenience to him even though I was in a parking lane. And I got my seat off to see if I had any spare bolts that would fit the linkage,... NOPE, the damn banjo was gone.

gotta love this sh*t

My old ironhead will go thru plates like that just from vibration till I backed it with steel and used all 4 bolts.

Better get new plates and let your dmv know in case someones looking to use that plate for criminal reasons! Never know.

Yeah, contact the DMV. Someone stole the plates off of my car last winter and stole gas in multiple locations. The police came and got me in the middle of the night..

the little socket head cap screws that go in each rod end are 10-24. not sure on length but i think about 1"

the rod end itself is a 10-32. left or right hand depends on what side of the linkage
