AIR COOLED POWER!!!

First off I want to say thank you and to you one sick ass set of trucks. I have always loved the clean and timeless look. Believe it or not the paint is factory. People ask me all the time where I got it painted, I always say GM does good work. It may be polihed and waxed like a bitch but that is the one thing people see first. I would love to have the Colorado but living I'm Michigan I can only drive my truck and bike maybe 6 months out of the year so another toy would be out of the question.

The compressor can be install with just minor changes. Very nice too, I have a 12 gallon tank with a 135/175 pressure switch and cruising down the highway takes 12 seconds to fill the tank, or at idle 45 seconds.

But to lay 20's the battery goes in the back, smaller radiator overflow tank is needed, ECM goes under the dash, inner fenders are cut away, firewall tubbed, a/c and heat removed, fuse block relocated, abs redone or removed, notched lower a- arms or tubulars, custom intake needed, notching for the tie rods, 2" drop spindles, spring pocket needs to be widened, shock relocated (shockwaves won't work), a-arm mounts need to be modified, oh and every cross member needs to be replaced or modified.

I have the gas tank and carrier bearing vross members I need to install for the finished look hut as much dragging as I do I will just wait till I absolutly have to put them in.

Both of my trucks are factory paint and I love it. I love the color you have too.

See thats where i run into a problem. I have to keep my a/c and heat. I'll probably end up going with a vintage air kit or something like that.

Most of this I had an idea I had to do but I have a couple questions. How did you have to modify the a-arm mounts?

How did you widen the spring pockets? Did you just cut it and make it into more of a bucket

All of the cross members on the Blazers are ok except the engine cross member. I am thinking of simplifying everything and having a body dropless chassis/stock floor BD done.

I personally would say fuck bagging it and go with the 5.3l, after a while the bags just become the same old thing. Plus you already have bad the chance to pimp a bagged ride.

Otherwise the a-arm mounts and pockets just need to be widened out to allow for the bags and brackets and for the extra travel on the a-arm.

Plus to bag a blazer there is a lot of extra work in the back not associated with a truck since it goes to the interior not just the bed.

But in the end do what you want to do the most otherwise you will regret it.

Oh ok, the way you had it wrote made it seem like more, but I knew that needed to be done. The back would be mostly sheet metal and compartments for subs, compressors, tanks, and gas tank. I don't think I would be putting rear seats back in. Too much work to keep them.

Bagging it would give me more to do, though. If I do a 5.3, I'll have it done in a couple weeks and need to find another project. At least when I bag it, it will take me a while. :D

I'll just have to decide if I want to hear the "PSSSH" from the bags or the "bumpity bumpity bumpity" from a healthy cam in a 5.3.... [smirk]

You van always put silencers on your dump valves that way you won't hear the passh.

True with the swap, but if you want a long project do a bags, body drop, and a 5.3l then you would be set have have all the toys.

well your at it trim up the rear bumper with a smooth rollpan, and shave everything.

It already has the step shaver/roll pan on it. I just need to shave everything. I might take off the roll pan I have and replace it with the steel one so I can mold it in....

Yes these are my daily drivers, btw the bike gets better gas mileage.

People seem to get out of the way when cruising downtown, as far as the drive-thru, I just jump up top and walk to the end of the wing and reach down and get my Happy Meal.
