Now that I have the R fairing on my scg ive been trying to figure out a way to mount my phone in a clear pouch of some sort under the windscreen. Anyone have a type of small bag or mount? I have a buell tank bag, but I dont need it every day. I want something small mounted on the inside of the fairing somewhere where i can see my phone. I hate trying to get it out of my pocket while at a light or something.

Any ideas??? I was thinking some small phone pouch with a clear screen, maybe a smart phone case or something and just velcro in the the windscreen.

I guess my question would be...Why do you need to look at your phone on your bike anyway? are you just THAT popular? I stick mine in my pocket, and check it when I get to my destination. or, if I am expecting something, I pull over and take a look.

either way, There are some companies that make waterproof cases for iPhones, but otherwise, you may be stuck fabricating a plastic pouch of your own...

...or are you wanting it for GPS use? If so, Amazon has bolt on smartphone holders. If for other uses, why not a bluetooth headset?

Look up " Tech Mount " anything you need to mount a device to you bike is here. Please use wisely though yours and other lives depend on your sound judgment!

Gtp3800, when I find a good mount I'll be buying one. [up]

Agfish, its not a popularity thing for me. I listen to music while I ride and sometimes I'd like to change the song, or when the phone rings I'd like to see who it is so I can decide to answer it or not through my cardo system, or for gps purposes. There are many reasons to use the phone over popularity.

I use mine for music too. My jacket has a hole for the headphones to an audio pocket. I just mount mine in there. I also would like a way to change music so I've been looking at getting a Blinc bluetooth for linking to my phone. The only thing holding me back is my phone needs to be looked at because the battery has been dieing really fast and if I ran bluetooth it would only last one way and be dead before I came home.

To each their own, but being on a bike is no place for music or talking on phone.

Phone goes in the pocket and checked whenever I stop.

I rock a Bluetooth bt3300 and my best friend has one too, great for music , two way, or phone calls.

I sold my gps and ipod, I store all my music on my phone, and get my gps off of my phone. I dont know why I lost rep for asking this question lol. Sorry didnt mean to make anyone mad.

What I want to do is be able to skip to the next song, control volume, and have the ability to look up the nearest gas station. While im cruising on the highway safely I can do this, not pull over on the side and risk somebody not paying attention and hitting me. I have no intention on using it as a communication device while riding.

Oh and I just bought a new bell helmet so bluetooth is out of the question, If my phone is out it can charge in the usb port I mounted on my bike as well. I cant charge it when its in my pocket.

thanks RT, That could work. Its either that or I makeshift one to mount on the inside of the fairing somewhere. I dont want any of the ones that mount on the triple or the bars.

look at the cortech micro tank bag.
phone keys and a pack smoke or camera is all it will fit but cherry loves her's

That's a cool option. What you have to be careful with these are exposing the phone to the direct sunlight while riding. I know that sounds crazy, but I did this and it caused my iPhone to shut down under a temperature warning. Couldn't believe it.

It's a challenge to display it where it's visible.

wow lol thats crazy, Ill have to keep an eye on it then. Well maybe the best place would be next to the gauge cluster. Im thinking right where the ecm would be on the left or right side. Since mine is the S, I dont have anything there which gives me lots of room.

In the inside pocket of my riding jacket. That way, I hope, if I have a get off the phone will be protected, and with me where ever I land so I can call for help.

Jacket pocket being ignored. My bike is for recreational use mostly. If I am riding, I am not available. Please leave a message.... beep.

I will however peek at it when I take a break to see what the next photo challenge is.
