So I am trying to figure out what I need to do to safely, and cheaply store my bike for winter. It will be stored in a basement which is heated although cooler, and with higher humidity.

So far I was thinking about the obvious which is taking the gas down in the tank so it is not sitting all winter. Thought about a ceiling suspension to take A LITTLE of the weight off the forks and rear suspension.

Should I drain oil and replace in spring when ready to ride? Anything else? I will be using battery tender but it might be lost cause on my 04 battery.

What else? Thanks guys

When I store mine, I put them on a tender in a heated garage and thats it. I don't drain anything. I do it with all my bikes, never had a problem one.
