A lot of oil splattering out of my filter. At least 2 ounces. What would be causing this based on my setup. I believe I have given plenty of drainage. See my diagram below and start with suggestions or why the hell so much oil residue.

I have an easy 26" of 3/8's drainage. If I put my hand next to the filter I can feel air spitting with the occasional oil splatter. Any ideas as to how the oil is making it up that line?

Sounds like this is going to take some brainstorming......

It almost sounds like extra air is getting in the cranke case and entraining out the oil. Would bad rings cause this?

What year is the bike and what kind of milage does it have?

First thought, drainage portion leading down to your plug is stopped up so all that crap is being routed out through your filter.

I'll check but there is about 2 ounces in the drain tube also so i imagine it's making down there.

i would say its engine trouble. You shouldnt have that much oil coming through in the first place.

Oily condensation, just more of it right?
Do you have to replinish your oil frequently?

Maybe try a compression test on the cylinders. At 10.5:1 cylinder compression should be around 150psi

It was doing it when I had the filter at the back of the bike and it was getting all over my swing arm so I moved it to the upright position. I don't have to replace my oil except for when i do my oil changes.
