Are you bending those pieces or welding? I'm partial to a nice clean bead to a bend. I think it gives it more character and it would work with the beads that can already be seen on the bike.

invest into a break, would make your bends easier rather than removing the material to bend it with ease...the end result is the same, but you have created a weak spot in all the pieces you've made thus far...just my 1 cent

Looking good.

And I'm interested to see more photos and how you've mounted up your rear brake reservoir please.

We want updates!

Ha ha. So do I. It's just been too cold to be out in the garage. Been a crazy cold winter. Even with a few kerosene heaters going it just ain't cutting it when it's 3° out.

I'm getting anxious to get back into the project. Got a new shrinker/streacher and looking forward to trying it out.

On the air box cover? It will be 4 pieces. The top, two sides and a small piece around the fuel cap. I think I'll smooth out the welds though, but not 100%. It can look nice either way.

On your Photoshop design prototype depiction of the air box, I dig how the side contour flows with the frame contour feature [up]

A brilliant young local fabricator is helping me with the aluminum work. We are working from my schetches and having a good time with it.

Still under progress. Needs trimming, and finish work yet. But getting there.
