when i went down, it happened on the leftside as well. the bike laid over, and the pavement pulled the shiftlever down towards the ground and it cracked the bolt hole that the bolt goes into and holds the shift lever to the bike. the bolt was pretty messed up, almost bent 90 degrees. that bolt is a pretty cheap fix and easy to see if its bent, obviously just take the bolt out.[up]

Ice on the roads today. No going out. Seems to be shifting fine in my house. LOL! Ill update when the weather clears. That's for the input fella's.

When your going down the hallway into the dining room are you doing a 2nd to first shift? and is that the sticky one? Or is it the 3rd to 4th shift while your doing the flyby past the bathroom towards the bedroom?:D

My bike did this from brand new. Turned out the shift shaft was getting hung up on the bushing just inside the primary cover. A new bushing and all was well. So I'm going along with the others who said the shift shaft is bent. Same problem, but different fixes. Good luck, Wayne
