I'm not trying to diss your skills at all but I really think you need to change the seat set up. I think that if you go with a one piece seat it will kind of cheapen all the custom fabrication stuff you're doing. Make you're own solo seat/cowling and you'll have something real hot!
Just my opinion. Please don't take offense.
You're work, thus far, is pretty awesome. Makes me envy your "dream" shop!

As for a fat rear tire, absolutely not. These bikes are made to corner and I'll never do anything to harm that. I've ridden almost all modern sport bikes and this one has my favorite handling charistericts. This bike will mainly see mountain roads and more track days. Maybe if I were building a chopper, but not a sport bike.

As for the rear seat, I kind of agree. From the beginning I told myself this is going to be a very mild build with no frame, suspension or geometry changes. All of my other bikes are single seaters. I wanted to keep this one two up possible. I like taking my little brother or girls for a ride every now and then. I will be building a seat cowl to cover the rear seat though, so it will look good I hope.

The ducati I'm building will have a solo tail, and titanium subframe. It will also be under 300 lbs, which would be a good weight for the buell. Ha I can dream can't i?

do you have a drawing of what the entire tail section would look like? how are the seat rails going to come together or are they? is that the seat that will be used after being covered? what the idea for a seat pan?

The seat pan is there glued to the foam, it's carbon fiber.

The subframe rails will be curved to match the profile of the seat pan. There will be 1/8" sheetmetal welded in between the rails at the back for a little bit of storage.

I'll have the seat covered. Not sure what type of material. I want a type of synthetic waterproof suede.

I like the low front and high back look. Makes it look aggressive.

The headlight isn't actually mounted yet but that's where it will go.

Pretty much. Like I said earlier the belt side will be totally different. Instead of a removable brace, this part is a spacer and it will be removable. Like the 1125 arms I think.
