Xtremelow's Ss swing arm, lowering, Scg tail in process thread

Here are my Custom Oil lines which retained the front hard lines of the stock line but lengthened them to my needs, cost about the same as the stock ones but these actually work for what I need, glad I didn't even try to order the stock ones for the '09 swing arm since I found out they wouldn't have worked anyway.

Just have to wait on two 45 deg. fittings to come in on Monday and I will hopefully be able to tear down and bring it all to the powder coating shop on Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest.

Also found that I didn't need any added length on the rear brake line since I am going with a lower stance and the stock R line has enough slack to make up for the difference.

Keeping with the 200mm, I don't want to have to modify the swing arm or do a chain conversion. 240mm is just not practical............ha.

I thought of the 240mm but one don't want to spend that amount of money and two I think it is a little to wide, maybe a 220 would look good but 240 is just a bit to big.

Hopefully I will be all done in about 2 weeks. That is my target anyway.

Well I haven't drop this project, just so you all know.

All the parts; swing arm, brace, primary, inspection covers, S side rails, and chopped tail are all out to powder coat.

Should get them sometime next week. I am in hopes that I can get this all done by next weekend since there is a Huge Bike Time, like Daytona Bike Week, here in my home town of Muskegon but for 3 days and numbers estimated around 30,000 bikes and 90,000 people.

Muskegonbiketime.com

Went the last two years and it is huge. I believe they are figuring close to 40,000/100,000 this year.

Thanks Man Looking foward to that :D.
Just finished tuning Mine for the new Flow master i hacked up .
Seems to be running the best since i bought it [cool]

Well here is the tail section. Went with the Satin Black, instead of flat or gloss to blend in with the bike better.

Hopefully the swing arm and primary will be done tommorrow which will be silver to match the stock swing arm and or frame.

Well here is the tail on the bike. Once I get the swing arm I will go back to the stock shock to lift it up a bit, which I have a feeling wont be enough so I will have to fabricate a mounting bracket of some type so the back doesn't look like it is sagging. Not sure if I like it or not yet, might have to grow on me. Leaning to the dislike so far but we will see what it looks like in the light.

I will post some day shots tomorrow.

Enjoy

Looks good Xtreme. I do think the frame rails would look better thought if the were silver or panted to match the custom paint job. Just my two cents, and keep up the good work.[up]

I tossed the idea back and forth to do black or silver and I wanted to go with a slash through the center of silver but if for some reason I dont like it I can handle another $45 to coat my GF's rails and give her these... she is going for an all black and CF look so it would work out either way.

I am also hoping it blends with the seat too......what you have brought up is why I am leaning to the dislike. In many ways it doesnt go with the bike. But we will see.

xtreme are you going to stay with the factory bars or get a set of clip-ons? are you going to do any engine work? Should look seriously unique when you finish!

Lookin good! Have you thought about painting your magnesium fairing mount? I think it would balance the paint scheme. I know I have been. By the way, do you have an extra? lol. I don't want down time.

Here are the day shots. I like it a lot more during the day but still needs to grow on me, I will see once I get the Ss swing arm on to decide whether I will go to silver rails instead of the black.

Lets here what your thoughts are???????

dude, it looks friggin tough!!!

It makes me want to find that rear end for my 'bolt.

I still need to cut down my windscreen too.

Jealousy overcomes me

I've thought since Sedars 1st posted pics of it, that the color scheme on the plastics would look awesome on a blacked out bike. Don't get me wrong, it looks great now, but I keep wanting to see them on a blacked out bike.

Besides, nobody's as concerned about your bike now, we just want more pics of the Ladies ;):D - JK

the swing arm and primary cover will be the stock silver.

More pics are sure to come of the ladies, maybe it will be with the new swing arm and primary cover on.
