The black is growing on me, I look at it this way, before there was no silver on the rear and now there still is no silver. Both ways the tail had dark colors so I think I am going to dig the black rails.

Hopefully my swingarm is done and I can puck it up tomorrow morning!!!

I still say you have one of the sexiest xbs out there. The thing I appreciate about it most is that its very classy. Tons of mods, but none of them are gaudy or make it look like you are trying to compensate if ya know what I mean haha.

I love understatments. I want my bike to appear bone stock but be over the top custom at the same time. To a bueller it is mostly obvious what has been done but someone not framiliar with a buell it should just be a jaw dropper.

I guess I go for the Chip Foose, design aspect, timeless.

I think the longer swingarm will make it look better. I like the black, but something is a little off with it, in my opinion that is. If your gf, doesn't take them I would suggest maybe getting them painted to match one of the paint colors on your plastics. The grey color probably look good.

I would look into doing the hidden rear brake caliper. That's one mod that's on my list of things to do, I just think on a bike like yours it would clean it up even more and only add to its coolness.

Good looking bike! Good luck.

I have thought about doing the hidden caliper but I just have to get my self to buy the stuff, I know it doesn't cost that much and adds both performanc and look, just need to do it.

As far as the rear looking "Off" I agree I think the problem is the flow of the upper swing arm brace. It has an arch that doesn't go with the look of the bike and I feel the black tail only points out further that the arch is there. With the Ss arm it is straight so I am hoping it will fix that issue.

Also I think I may be going back to a Metallic Blue Fairing and Tank cover, then CF belly pan and CF fender. So those will only help with the incoparation of the black rails.

Well powder coating place said they are going to have my Swing arm done today, but I have to work at 3pm so I can't get it till tomorrow, but I am leaving to go to buellxb's to pick up some stuff before the coating place opens tomorrow and won't be back till after they close........ Arhhh

My only hope is they get it done right before I leave for work, but I still have to get the bearings pressed in so I most likely won't have my Ss swing arm done until next week.

Damn so many things to do, so little time.

Xtreme, I've just bought an 04 xb12r and I want to do what you're doing once I get back home from this deployment with the Guard. I've looked everywhere for an Ss swingarm and can't find one, where did You get yours and how much did it cost you? Thanks in advance Georges

Got it from a member who layer his bike out and had it replaced through his insurance but got to keep the old one. I payed $100 then another $40 for the swing arm brace and like $10 for the brace bolts. Then I had it powder coated for another $55 and then to finish it off I had to have custom oil lines made that were $100 oh then I had to buy an Ss belt for $175. So it cost me $480ish plus the tare down and build time.

is there a difference in the oil capacity between the stock swingarm and the SS swingarm?

Beautiful bike, i'm really excited to see the final project.

Do you go to Daytona?
