Xtreme- Are your headers wrapped? or were they? Hard to tell from the picture, wondered if you could tell me about them.

No problem on the jack, Octo.

Also Yes I have my header wrapped, used 2" black wrap, overlapped about 3/4". I think I used about 18'.

Here is a better pic

Killer wrap job dude.

I wrapped mine, but I took a rock or other debry to mine and it all started to unravel. So, I took it all off and I was left with haggard looking pipes. So I scuffed them and shot with high temp black paint.

I had the header off when it was wrapped, soaked the wrap in water for a few minutes to allow for it to stretch, made a small mess and my hands were black for a little while but very happy with how it turned out.

No joke on the mess. I did the same thing. My hands and arms were BLACK for days after that, along with my garage floor. Awesome.

I let mine soak too, but my wrap job isnt that neat. I thought mine looked good till i saw yours [confused] Good thing i wore gloves tho
:D

Speaking of shipping, when I shipped off my subframe, I used the box I had shipped my exhaust in and it was going to cost me $60. I cut the box down 4" and it cost $25. makes a huge difference.

Nice wrap job xtreme, the bike is going to be killer!

I know the color might not be your thing, but next time think about Dei's titanium wrap. The color would look pretty slick next to that green your using. Goes on so much easier then fiber, dry, with no mess. Supposed to hold up much longer and not lose its color. I wrapped my xb's header twice, and the 1125's once already. Hoping this will hold up, only time will tell. I just finished mine, and love the look.

I completely agree, when I need to re-wrap it for what ever reason I will be going with a titanium IF I dont decide to up the full exhaust to a full kit.;)

looks really good man. i soaked mine, but i didnt use sixteenth inch i used eight, itll last longer, but doesnt look as tight and clean

I know it's a trivial part of the overall build, but I'm curious about the Rizoma oil cap too. You said something about a "quick release?" I don't understand that part. I thought it was installed and removed with a hex key, rather than like a knob. I see the safety wire tabs, and the mounting tab you can mount on the bike, but the QR thing has me confoozed.

I guess I mislead when I said quick release. It is rather the snap ring that pops off and allows you to remove a inner clip that can be wired to a small bracket that mount under the brake line clamp. It is all in the effort to make sure your oil cap doesn't back out some how and get lost riding or racing. Not sure but in raving it may be required to have the wired cap tonprevent it from backing out.

I wish I would too. I am sort of at a stand still until I get a couple more things in the mail. I keep expecting them but when I am told 5-10 business days I always hope for 3 but get 10 [sad]

Well painted te caliper, need to sand down a spot that got a run and reshoot that but overall looks good. Also going to take the paint off the lettering to leave that bare.

Also some motivation for me to get the bike done it is finally raining out pretty good so it will clear off the roads. Also a free wash for my truck
