Xtreme, is that Hawk Pipe made from your originally shortened race pipe from before or is this another full length pipe that was sent be modified by Hawk? (I can't really tell in the picture)

Xtreme, how much sanding/scraping of the powder coat do you have to do before part assembly? My frame needs a powder coat bad but the prep work is what intimidates me!

Hey Xtreme....love the colors, I just ordered my swingarm bearings and was wondering how hard is it to remove the swingarm. [confused]

@meetech I bought the muffler and had it sent to Randy, I sold the hacked race pipe.

@RJ when you powder coat you just need to drop of the parts. There is a process the coater goes through to clean the parts. I literally brought a truck load of parts and picked them up.

@Xb12sLt the swing arm is relatively easy to remove IF you havethe tools, best case is to have some truck straps and hold the bike up in the garage, that way you don't have to worry about it tipping over. I personally use a stand in the front, remove the exhaust, and use a jack on the bottom of the motor. Or I take it off when the bike is in pieces, I have had my bike stripped to the motor about a half dozen times so I try to make the most of the work I do when I have it down like that.

@Everyone wondering about progress, I am waiting on parts yet. I have my C5 levers coming tomorrow and will be ordering more this weekend [up]

Yeah the tinted lens didn't help at all. I know rah says the tinted lens blocks close to 20% of the light emitted.

No we haven't got the front fairing painted yet going to preassmble the front end of the Bolt and install hids tomorrow. Rotate the 1125r motor down and check valve lash.Likely get the stator out and boxed to go to rewind for a pre emptive repair.
Monday hit a couple local body shops and see what they think they can do .Have panit scanned for a match.


I used megalog and ecm spy i have both on cd's so we can easly get your's tuned when your ready.Cable is actully just around the wall on the kitchen counter no need to search.

Florida or Arizona, it all depends on where Sara gets a Nursing job. She graduates next year and after the wedding which is next summer we are out of MI for good. I am hoping I only have 1 more winter in this God forsaken frozen slush pit


Also an update, as I have ordered all the rest of the parts I need for the build so I should have everything by next weekend, other than a couple pieces I have ordered that are coming more towards the end of the month (Race Fairing, XBDashboards Cluster, and my XB Light)

So if everything goes good I will begin assembly next weekend. This weekend will just be prepping the frame for grounds, cleaning the engine (busting out the tooth brush ), and just getting everything organized a little more than what it already is. Oh I have to go and get my tires mounted up this week too.[up]

You should order a Shorai battery to lighten the bike up a bit. They should be restocked by mid april. They were out of stock doing some re-tooling and making some slight changes.

I have looked into lithium batteries to help clean up under the tail and give myself some storage space.

But I am good for now, I have 2 batteries that work just fine so I hate just toss them out or aside to have a 3rd battery.
