    Cold start idle.

    Make sure your idle screw is turned up enough. Should be reachable on the left side of the engine between the jugs. I had to set my idle up when it gets cold and some times turn it back down when outside temp is hot.

    Either the ForceWinder XR-2 or the NRHS Performance Hurricane Flow Filter work the best one the tuber X-1 with FI. No real problems with either setup. Sort of depends on the look you prefer.

    I have two X-1's, 1999 & 2001. I have had NO major mechanical problems. The stuff that goes south is typical stuff that goes wrong with any bike getting close to 12 -13 yrs old. Cracked and broken tail light lenses, relay switches failing, headlight bulbs burning out, voltage regulator...

    Chances are it isn't the drain plug if it is snug and tight. If you have an older tuber Buell, and are using a synthetic tranny oil (which I recommend you do), the gasket material on older models will eventually soak through with synthetic oil and eventually drip. So, if drain plug seems...

    vance and hines bottom mount bolt keep coming loose

    :(I had the same problem with my Vance and Hines. Not a well designed mount to start with to handle the shakes and rattle a Buell makes. I had to fabricate a wrap around strap to fit around muffler housing to make it work. I eventually had to rid myself of the V and H exhaust, even the front...

    wont stay running

    It is not a carburater issue I doubt. You are having some spark issues. Pull off plastic cover over ignition module, check and see if LED light flashes. If it still flashes when the bike dies, your problem is distal to the module. I.E. coil or plug/ wire.

    Blew the dip stick out

    An overfill condition will certainly jettison the oil cap. But, more likely, since you checked the oil level, your engine is failing to vent adequately to the outside. I had that same problem with an old Shovelhead once. The little "china mans hats" in your heads may be hardened and no longer...

    Buell mill. edition x1 CARB. it or keep FI?? HELP

    Don't change to carb. Keep fuel injection. In the long run, FI is actually simpler and a lot less headaches. Conversion to carb is costly and technically difficult.
