TPS & AFV reset needed for altitude change?

Envious :D Years ago, like 1980, I was at Lowry AFB for tech training. A bunch of us drove up Lookout Mountain. Above the tree line in August. Still snow in some places. That would be an awesome ride on a Buell. Have a great ride:)

In Shanghai for a month. Verry few "real" motorcycles

Bikes made for the US market are cleaner than most cars sold in China. They take up far less space on the road too. I imagine outside Shanghai, the roads are better suited for sport bikes and cruising as it is for most US cities as well. I'm heading back to my side of the pond tomorrow. Yahoo...

In Shanghai for a month. Verry few "real" motorcycles

I walk from the hotel to the office. 1.1 miles. Have to be far more careful even walking. I also swim 5km a day at a pool near the office. They swim as bad as the drive. No lane ropes. No rules. No etiquette either. One day I stopped at 50 instead of 100 laps after getting hit in the face for...

In Shanghai for a month. Verry few "real" motorcycles

Stuck here in Shanghai for a month for work. The XB12Ss, with Hawk, I had would be an extreme head turner here. I have only seen one "real" motorcycle in 3.5weeks. A ton of electric scooters. About half as many gas powered scooters. The car drivers here would scare the worst Mass-Hole drivers...

    Hawk Performance Mufflers!!!

Did mine a while back. Loved it. Neighbors knew when I was coming and going :) 2009 XB12Ss with learning ECU. No reflash needed. Had K&N too. http://youtu.be/bIOmFY2tKmE

    Good news for Erik!!

Hero makes scooters, not motorcycles. 223cc is not a motorcycle engine on road. Maybe off road. But not on road.

Just ordered Michelin Road Pilot 2..Anybody use?

I had them on my 09 XB12Ss. Loved the handling. Sure footed for those times you can't avoid rain too.

    XB 12 Scg muffler

Check out Randy Hawkins modified stock pipe work. Hawk Performance. I did my 2009 XB12Ss. Loved it. Sweet sound of rumble. But not so obnoxious that I couldn't leave for work at 6AM without pissing off the neighbors.

Can't recall contact info for buyer of my 09 XB12Ss in NC

So, my wife was cleaning the bedroom and found some documentation for the 09 XB12Ss I sold to a guy from Raleigh. He was buying it for a friend that was going through a nasty separation. The deal was sealed back in the Spring of 2011 in Greensboro. If memory serves correctly his first name was...

Hawk Dyno numbers? other than his site.

All I can say is what my XB12Ss did before and after. I'm a fat guy. Stock, I never accidentally got the front wheel off the ground. But after riding around for a day after filter and Hawk, the front wheel came up on a hard take off. Not much but enough to kick me in the butt. I did a dyno...

    XB12Ss Fuel Consumption

I'm with Raz. On highway trips I got a good 5mpg better running 65-70 than running 75-80. Thoufgh my best mpg never got to the spec'd 65mpg. Best was about 55mpg cruising (not knee dragging) back road twisties up to 55mph. But then I'm a fat bass turd. Someone weighing 130 pounds less than me...

    Damn previous owner!

When I sold my Buell I showed the guy my receipt from the 10K service done about 1 month previous. I would have gotten a copy of the entire service history if he had asked for it. You can't buy integrity. :D

    Atrocious gas mileage?

Even with my fat load I got 40 or better depending on how I rode. Highest was about 55MPG just cruising back roads around 40 to 60 MPH. Worst is city, about 35. Rocket shots at every light. Highway doing 80-85 got about 40.
