    Winter repairs (rocker cover gaskets)

I did mine over the summer since it decided to blow and cover the rear tire with oil. My gaskets looked worse than yours btw. Visibly smaller and very hard. In short the rear was cooked and I live in the northeast. I since have added a RSS. Little disappointed in all, those gaskets should be a...

charging probelem plss help???? went thru threads

If its not charging and you feel the vr and stator are working properly, check the plug under the pulley cover. Many threads on this issue, its connector 77. The troubleshooting steps in the service manual are pretty helpful on this one. If you don't have one, download it from the link above...

Any other Buellers with bad backs?

I have L4and 5 toasted as well. I have learned as well strengthening your core has been without a doubt the BEST medicine. Every once in a while I take ibuprofen when I over do it or do something stupid but other than that I lead a normal life. Mind you it took a few years, dedication to...

Check oil when level or on kick stand?

It seems the readings are different from one bike to the next so upon previous advice I would say change the oil and filter. Put in 2.5 quarts as the manual says and get your readings. Then you will know exactly where "full" is on your bike.

    Would you?

Those Hawk dyno numbers look like those are for a 9 not a 12. And if that's correct the Hawk is slightly better on a 9. Again that's discretionary since its a different bike, different dyno and different people running the test. I'd be willing to be the 12 numbers between the 2 are pretty close...

    1190 AMA debut!!

Speed has been using the "BUELL" moniker all season but the announcers called it as Geoff May on the EBR. IIRC the 1190 is rule book underweight so they have to add. Not sure what the rules say about how they have to do it. I thought it was awesome at the end when they went split screen with...

best map for hawk muffler with upgrades

I have an 07 12sst with the more open stock air box, K&N, Hawk, Iridiums and breather. My stock map really didnt look a whole lot different than the race map but I went ahead and tried the race map anyways. Initially it popped a lot but after a TPS reset when it was good and hot it does it only...

The lanyard in the toolkit. What's it for?

Side cutters would likely take care of it lol. I see it as it stops the average idiot from walking away with my lid or dropping it on the ground for me.

    Any suggestions for tail/tank bag?

I have the same setup as goat on my ss and honestly love it. However the tail bag isn't what i would call "small". Its not huge, tho it does expand and hold quite a bit, its not like the coveted Buell tail bags which were relatively small. The Cortech tail bag does come off quick as it has its...
