    1125r Buell Full Side Fairing

Thanks heagachongoose. They are the 3/4 sides. I never realized the 1125rr's kit wasn't just the 3/4 with the belly pan. Its a stand alone set? My apologies, Cooter, when I typed "Buell side fairing" in the heading, I meant it literally. Buell factory. Not Airtech, ilmberger, flexi-glass, or...

    In Search of 1125R Parts

I don't have any parts for you, but don't overlook checking on new stuff. SOME things are surprisingly inexpensive. Surdyke has good prices. Your oil cooler is definitely going cheaper on ebay.

Looking for either a set or just the oil line that attaches to the top (return) of the oil cooler.

    Unknown Hose?

So I'm assembling an 1125r that I received in a bunch of totes. Its going together fine, but I have run into a mystery hose. It comes off the right side of the bike, just below and between the throttle bodies. I figured it was a vacuum hose for the clutch, so I didn't give it much consideration...

    Getting paint off XB plastics?

Just in case someone needs this answered, I used "Kleen Strip" standard paint stripper on my xb plastic and it didn't affect the plastic at all. I should say I didn't have the translucent plastic on it though.

Where do you have your feet?

For street riding, I ride straight across the balls of my feet, with my foot fully inboard and on the peg. I think just about everyone will agree that is the safest spot for your foot whether we are riding in the dirt or on the street. For track days and moving around on the bike as we enter...

    Fork rebuild

Service manual reads: "The guide bushing is no longer removed during the disassembly process." I'm still going to give Phlegm's method a try.

    Fork rebuild

Unholy, sounds like you are referring to xb forks. That's what I am used to seeing. These are sort of pressed into the inside of the upper. Phlegm, thanks ill give that a shot. I've got a 90 degree pick that I tried to pull with. I got nowhere.

    Fork rebuild

I've got them completely disassembled.... But the lower bushing doesn't look like it's going to come out easy. Has anyone used any tricks to get them out?

    1125 forks

xb12rs, how did they go back into the triples? I've always been worried about the thickness of the powder paint, and then cracking it when I tightened down the clamps.

Factory Red Wheel Stripes R or CR?

I'm looking at buying a new front wheel. Ive got a 09 R. My wheels have red stripes. (red plastic) I always thought it was factory, since everything else is stock on my bike. (3rd owner) I looked up a new wheel in the parts catalog and noticed the piranha black with red stripe is a YL (CR)...

    WTB 1125 any condition

Short of the engine being cracked in half, that would be a fun project bike. It would only be a 12 hour drive for you, goose. Do it. Do it.

Opinions on Bell RS-1 Helmet with Transitions Shield

RT and Doc are spot on, look for a full size smaller in the current Star vs current rt-1. I've worn large my entire adult life, now I wear a med Star. As I recall, one seems to fit rounder heads than the other. I want to say it is the Star. The two look similar, but they are more different than...
