I tried to run a compression test, but the part that screws in was too big to get a socket on. I'll look into another block or just parting it after April. At this point I'm getting over throwing more money and time at it.

Since reality is setting in, I'm seriously considering parting her out. Chin spoiler is already spoken for, otherwise she's got all the goodies. Gpr damper, drilled rotor, brand new fuel pump, never used belt, extra forks and triple clamps, ebr 5mm race rotor, clutch actuator with extra gasket set, etc. If anyone is interested email is [email protected]

Don't give up yet!!!!

Just chill for a bit and get a plan. Lot's of guys here (myself included) are willing to help you out. I know it sucks right now and downright depressing. But I'm sure there's a solution that isn't so drastic.

Grab a beer, and put it out of your mind for a little bit. The solution will present itself in due time.

whoa, nooooooo. Like Cooter said Just take a beer break. Where are you located? You can get a set of used cases from pinwall cycles (Hegachongoose's post above) for about 250-300. The photo of the base gasket has me puzzled. This is a total fuckery because of HD's involvement. They're to busy getting their feelings hurt and would rather get in a pissing contest than fix the bike. I have been interested in doing the 1190 upgrade myself, except I have been planning on doing it myself. I have sent a used piston to CP for them to look at manufacturing it with the same dome only 106mm. I had halfagiraffe ask EBR what the compression ratio was on the kit and they replied they don't know. HMMMM. The first thing is to start eliminating parts issues. Was the EBR cylinders done correctly? They should be a press fit with no leaks. They make dye that you add to the coolant that will allow you to trace the leak. Hell, I have a spare motor I got off of Cosworth (minus stator and rotor) if it comes down to that. Don't give up yet. We are Buellers and we stick together. I'll send you a pm with my phone number.

Ok, just a lil hissy fit! Please excuse my temper tantrum. My truck is also fubar'd currently so I'm starting to let the stress get to me!

I'm ordering a block from pinwal first thing in the morning and another set of gaskets from ebr. This time it's just going to be my grimy lil hands on it and if it all goes to hell again the coolest Buell guru I know has offered to take it back to his bat cave and work miracles. If that happens I'm pretty sure it'll be returning with a keda rt4 system. One way or another my lil precious will roar again!

On a side note, just installing the bbk is fairly simple. The only real difficult part is making sure the timing is correct. I've watched it be disassembled and reassembled enough now to know that anyone who can do a valve adjustment can easily handle it. Thank you again fellow Buellers, no other group on earth as cool!

Take my time? Yeah well see the thing is.....it's going on a trailer Sunday morning and Sunday evening if the stars align it will be rolling around the Robbinsville area. take my time pffffft really?

I've been following this and man I feel your pain! Only difference with my situation is my wounds were self inflicted! And my bikes an XB. My crank went out at around 37k. I put a bunch of go fast goodies into the engine. Put everything back together myself. Only to have third gear crap out less than 5k later. Needless to say I had to split the cases and start all over again. Don't feel bad. It will be worth it when it's done.
Buells are becoming the diamond in the rough of the motorcycle world.
Good on you for not giving up on the bike!

I'm too dumb to give up. It really takes a special kind of stupid to hop on an 1125cr and say..."this is a great bike, it just needs a lil more power before I take it to the dragon." yup, that's me....

Precious is alive! Turns out it was a bad clutch cover gasket. A brand new torqued to spec gasket that had a bulge....like extra gasket material all bunched up in one spot that held the cover off just enough. I'm amazed I ever discovered it. Don't always trust brand new parts!

Unfortunately in the middle of a heated phone call about oil, I managed to slip and crack the clutch release pin on the Allen head. Now I'm pretty sure the frigging clutch, the new Barnett clutch, is going to slip.....it never ends! At least she runs!

All in all a good day :D
