Haha, Fletch those hook hoists made me think of how much more my garage would look like a Bicycle Butcher shop than it already does. As of now I have 5 bikes hanging up :D

Wish I was doing anything outside tomorrow. But with slop, sleet, snow, and mid 30*deg temps[down]

I am going to Rays MTB Park in Cleveland tomorrow...anyone going to be there???

I'll be there next weekend.

Only bad thing about hanging your bikes upside down its not good for you're suspension fork at all.. causes seals to leak.

Damn, I wish I had a shorter drive not digging a 5 1/2hr drive one way[sad]

Looked it up and I think I am going to have to fit it into my schedule at some point, maybe do a weekend and stay at a hotel nearby. Looks like one hell of a good time.

Ya its just a little over 2 hours for me one way but its worth it...they have weekend specials with a hotel nearby...definetly look into that and let me know if you are going

I have been riding a lot to get ready for a 24 hour mtn bike race next weekend and the wife has been a bit irritated with me being gone too much so today we took a trip down the the LBS Rage Cycles in Scottsdale and picked up some new toys.

We got her an Electra Cruiser with a sweet trailer for out daughter and I picked up Raleigh back ally fix gear road bike.

We did a nice little break in ride around Tempe town lake and she seemed to like it so hopefully we can all go have fun together more.

This was 10 mins after we left the bike shop... It's still set up with the freewheel but at work tom. I'll pull the brakes off and flip the rear wheel so its fixed.

FIXIE! lol I got a cannodale capo that i ride fixie ;)

let me know when you're thinking about doing it, i usually go with a small group of friends and we get a couple rooms, its a fun weekend, ridin indoors and haning out.

Extremelow, Oh yea, got you're fork. I will get it in the mail tomorrow ;) its a pretty nice lookin fork. Hope you have a crown race puller. If you just want to put a new crown race on the fork let me know I can do that for you.. I'd just need to know what headset you have installed on the bike.. I'd have to hang on to the fork for a few extra days while i order the race. Up to you. let me know ;)

I think he wants you to take a look at the headset to see the brand. IE Canecreek, Aheaad, King, ETC. The race is press fit onto the base of the fork. You can get it on/off with some creative special tools but with out the puller it is a bit tricky to make sure nothing gets dinged or damaged where the bearings will ride.

How many of you guys wear helmets on your road bikes?

I'm contemplating one at this point, my uncle died of a bicycle crash so it's very taboo not to wear one in my family. But it's the family that thinks everything is too dangerous, so I have been thinking about just not getting one for a bit while I am riding the bike paths (wide flat paved roads for bikes only and rarely do I see another bike in them) once I start trail riding or anything aggressive or even street riding I'll probably pick up a bike helmet but I just don't want one on my road bike yet. Or is it something I should start wearing now while I train to get used to wearing it?

If you guys are wearing them what helmets are the coolest (temp wise)? And where can i get one with awesome air flow for less than $150? Light, low profile, and cool are what I want with a lid. My major complaint was always too much hot head, especially after the first 20 miles, a helmet had a tendency to cut my range in the past by 20% or more (cut my average speed too). I would do 40 miles after class with one and 60 without one, I was just too hot and uncomfortable to keep pushing the limit for another 20 miles, and I was dehydrated but I was only carrying 1 bottle of water at the time, this year once I break 40 miles I'll carry 2.

I always wear a helmet!

Road, trails, or park. I would rather look a fool with one walking away from going down than a bloody bag on my shoulders [smirk]

Simple Skateboard helmet for the trails and park and Giro for the road.

I know once I get on the street I'll wear one, I'm always afraid of the other guy and cagers.

But maybe I'll rock one on the bike trails just to be consistent, better safe.

Good call X (what the piss was I thinking? Lol)

I really want a full face for when I start getting crazy *evil grin*
