Is dark horse the only place to get that bracket, $70 is re-damn-diculous! Does anyone know the specs, maybe some of the machinists on here would be will to make a few...

American Sport bike sells them for $70 bucks. Link
Buy from them! Its good to give the american guy business. He is very nice and will help include the hardware to complete the job.

-oh and good luck trying to find someone to make one. By the time someone makes one of this quality they will charge you around $70 (at least)

I'll be making my own soon.. along with seat risers, axle sliders and some other random billet parts. Having access to CNC machines FTW!

PS. I will not sell the brake mod bracket that I will be making.. I don't want to get bitched out like the last guy who tried to sell ones he had made.. geez

The only man who's opinion really matters is BuellXB. He didn't have a problem with the last person that was going to make them - he won't have a problem with you either. Don't worry about the bitchin.

Forgot to post a pic of mine. Kinda a cool pic with the angle

Oh, you just suck. I had about managed to put the idea of doing this out of my head. Now I gotta go start looking for a caliper. :p

Baal you can hit americanportbike up and get everything you need in one kit just add fluid...

(with 2 piston Brembo caliper, Mounting bracket, teflon Clear coat Braided Stainless Steel brake line with crush washers, and bolts. Includes pads.)

I can't wait to do it myself as I am a rear brake whore

$246.30 hidden brake kit

My understanding is that on the Ss, you don't need a replacement line. If I can score a caliper cheap, then it ends up being a pretty reasonable mod. No real hurry; I've already done WAY more than I planned to when I bought this bike. [smirk]

hey - that was me. BuellXB never had a problem with me sellin them - just post in the classified section.

Does anyone have the brembo part numbers for silver or black? The one in the picture is strictly for that gold one. And does it matter if the Bleeder is on the left or right?

Try to get a caliper that has the bleeder pointing towards the rear of the bike. It will be much easier to access. If you buy a used caliper make sure you get the banjo fitting with it. Look on ebay for a Ducati 748/916/monster rear caliper.

Yes - you can use the stock brake line - it's a little tight but it does work. I ran mine like that for 3 or 4 months without any issues.

Thanks EVLXB...By the way, I found the thread of yours...holy hell!!! Glad everything turned out alright in the end.

Yes let us know if your still making them and how much?
I don't care if some crybaby candy ass is wineing about the money he's not getting for overcharging and screwing people. $70 is a rip off for a freakin' metal bracket. If someone can do it just as good and for cheaper then I'm all about that!

If it's not one thing it's another. I'm with Flava. I had just forgotten about this. Soooo sweet though.

I do have 6 more being machined right now. Should be done early this week. 2 are spoken for already, let me know if anyone needs one.

Hey Guys I've had a slight set back. The water jet guy screwed up and made teh hole too big - not sure what happened there. I bought a new piece of Al and will drop it off to him on Monday. the good news is he is gonna cut them for free and will cut additional pieces for free too. The piece I bought should net 25 brackets, so there will be plenty.

Looks like it might be another 2 weeks before they are done though. Sorry for the delay. The will be $55 shipped (to lower 48 US address). I have a list of folks that have PM'd me started.....
