Brembo rear "hidden" caliper mod, list of calipers

Worth it, if you want new parts, you can't beat that price, I tried. If you want used parts, you can get a caliper for cheap, and if you use the older smaller p32 caliper you can use the stock brake line.

There are plenty of P32 calipers for $100-125. The P34 is $150 max ant those are both for new with pads. Flip the brake line over for the P32, new line for the 34. Either way you'll need a new banjo bolt for the Brembo and washers.

onerun, and or anyone else, any word on if the kit from http://osc.faddybike-deutschland.de (mentioned on page 6) has the P32 or P34 Brembo caliper? If it's the P34 it probably came with a new brake line right? It doesn't explicitly say on their site, if it did though I would guess it's the P34, the statement "Including all nessary screws etc" on their site leaves that open a little bit so I'm very curious about it all.

So I recently discovered that my brembo hidden caliper does not align perfectly as it should. The brake pad hangs off the rotor by maybe 1/16" to 1/8" and as it wore the pad has a lip that overhangs the rotor. So the pad is sort of L shaped. It hangs up on the rotor a bit and basically always rides the rotor instead of springing back. I guess the bracket isn't perfectly positioned? Kind of annoying as it makes a mess of brake dust and chews through pads and of course wearing on the rotor.

Anyone else have this happen? I think I have about 4000 miles on these rear pads and they are completely worn away. I'd think they should last a lot longer than that.

I don't have the mod, but you have a couple different issues there:(

The pad hanging off the OD of the rotor may be a pad issue, or bracket issue, but shouldn't really affect much.

The dragging is a completely different problem. I'd pull the piston out of the caliper and clean it, and the seal very well.

I rebuilt the caliper before install. What's happening is as it wears to the L shape since it overhangs the rotor, the lip hangs on the rotor and the pad "sticks". At no fault of the caliper though...

Hey guys, so I did the mood and it looks great but I'm supper pissed! The caliper started leaking all over the place. Have not contacted them yet but I will be tomorrow once I get all the paper work together. Also a fyi the braking power was way less then stoke. Now I know it was not going to be a improvement but I would think it would be the same. Now I got a new phone in between doing that mood but the only thing need was the washers for the brake line boult and a C clips for the pin that holds the brake pads in.
