Why don't you guys plan a camping trip on the bikes and just do a ride over the course of a few days

Yeah, a bivy tent, bag, some sundries and your camping.. travel light, minimal packing.. definitely something to think about, for this summer.. Most KOA's have all the amenities and nice pools these days, too!

Tad were you filming us or snapping photos, in seaside

It was a flipshare video camera, yeah, I need to edit & post the vid to youtube & link it here

Hello everyone! I'm brand new to this site and I'm getting my first bike this November or December. I live in Tigard and its glad to see some buell enthusiasts in the PAC NW. I'm hoping to get an xb9 or xb12 (I'm in love with buells) but I've never ridden one. What are your guys opinions of the two and maybe some suggestions. Hope to be riding soon!

Hey ObeedoBanoobie, welcome to the site and I hope you find the right Buell for you. I got a XB 12 first but thats because i have been riding bikes since i was 7. Otherwise if this is your first motorcycle i would consider a 9 so that you can learn without having so much torque at hand.
I live right next to Tigard (Beaverton), so once you get a bike you can message me on here or post back on this thread. Then i can meet up with you for a ride/any help you need with you bike. I currently have 2 XB12R Firebolts and my brother has one as well.

I didn't realize this forum doesn't inform you when someone has posted to a thread after you. Lol duh feel like kind of a tard. Thanks for the warm welcome onelogue. I really wanna get a buell, I think they are just super cool bikes. I'm a very responsible and reserved person (meaning not and adrenaline junkie) so the difference between the sizes of the bike in my (unprofessional) opinion was which is better, more torque, or top end. The other issue I'm having is the availability of either in this area AND I really want a cbr 600rr also. Eventually (within about 5 years) I plan on having three bikes; a buell, cbr 600, and a Harley sportster. Cbr's are a little more available, and I'm worried about dropping my buell first which is more than likely to happen with my first bike. When the time comes, whichever happens I'm always up for meeting new people to ride with. Take it easy and RIDE SAFE!

I'm in Beaverton - have seen just two Buell's out here. If any of you are the folks I've seen and want to ride PM me. My only buddy with a cycle is on the East side,...

I'm down for the coast next summer. Family is increasing +1 this fall, so I'll be a little busy!

Hey Rook welcome to the site! What do you ride? I might have seen you.
I live right off of Allen here in Beaverton. PM sent....

I'm getting a little work done here in the next couple weeks. Clutch cable went out, need to powdercoat the seat brackets, may get some tires if the tax return gets in soon...

Should be back up in a about a month.

Tap tap tap... Mic check.

You guys and gals still have your Bikes?

Looking for breakfast meet ups.

Regards,
Doug~
Hey Doug, sorry we didnt see your post. You can always personal message me on here if you dont get a quick response.

Should be back up in a about a month.

Hey guys... Been a while since I have posted here. Still living in the Seattle area but if your down to do a coast road or portland area I am more then willing to take the longer ride to meet up. Seaside trip was awesome and been craving to meet up again.

Cycle Gear had a huge sale this last weekend so I got all my winter/rain gear for all season riding!!!

What's up guys?! Haven't been on in a while. Just moved but still in the area. Im close to skyline. Been out a couple times when it dried up but craving a real ride. Rook, obie, and wingnut... Good to see some more locals... Look forward to riding soon.

Jugg... Long ride but getting us all together again would be fun.

Cool cool.. sound good RJ. I need to change fluids and give her a once over. Fired right up after sitting several months so I had to put a few miles on her.

You will have to h?

EDIT: Ill have to plan a BBQ and have the local Buell guys over.

Just a heads up, Paradise Harley is having their spring opener BBQ this saturday (3-16) from 12-3:00PM. Im gonna try to come but its a sweet place to bring the Buell for free food.

Lets get something together... just sayin.

Randomly came across this video....

Which led me to find this... The road in the vid... not too far away!

http://www.maryhillmuseum.org/2013/...rounds-and-ranch/historic-maryhill-loops-road

A privately owned bad ass road?!? To quote Sam Hill the builder/owner "Good roads are more than my hobby, they are my religion."

How am I just now hearing about this place? Looks like you can only drive / ride it twice a year... but... bad ass.

Lets hit some twisties soon before thumpin1203 heads north... which is soon!!!!.
