Help Support Buellxb Forum:

Hi guys, From Australia here and would love to get hold of a large right side scoop for my XB12.

I don't suppose any of you guys would be so kind as to order one of the right side sccops for me and send to Australia?

I am prepared to pay additional on top of cost of parts and postage.

The surdyke dealer and a couple of others will not post to Australia.

As far as finding a dealer here in OZ, they are useless and expensive.

Please message me if you are interested in helping me out.

Thanks guys

gav: look at the response from another aussie. if that doesn't work out for you then send me a PM and i will be happy to order up the right side scoop set-up and ship over to you. do add this item you will need the outer scoop, the inner scoop, the 3 attachment screws. i ship to OZ most every day so not a difficult task on my end. regards, john

If you put in those 2 part numbets in at surdyke.com the rss is $45. You can get the three bolts at Home Depot, etc. Just a FYI

what jesse said. if you want to go factory....and they are shiny stainless allen head bolts....factory screw part # is:
AN1005.3FSS quantity required is 3.
IMO catch-can gizmo waste of time and space.

I used a black 5hour energy bottle.
I drilled two small holes at the neck so it can vent. I kept the cap on it and drilled a hole through the cap the same size as the OD of the hose I used to reroute the breathers. The hose goes about an inch and a half into the bottle. I cut the hose on an angle at the end to insure it never bottoms out and causes a blockage.
Works like a charm.
I'll take a pic of it if you really need that.
Personally I like seeing what's coming out of those breathers. Everytime I empty that little can I get a small glimps as to what's going on with my engine.
Or at least that's what I tell myself.

FYI to anyone still looking for a right side scoop: I ordered a carbon fiber scoop from MotoComposites and it arrived without any holes for the bolts. The website shows the piece with holes pre-drilled. Also, the fitment was a little wonky but I think it can be manipulated.

I have the CF L + R ones and cooling has been excellent. I *think* I recall reading in the Fuell magazine (the old Buell brand mag) that the left and right were different for a reason but I don't recall what model it was discussing. Anyway, the big CF ones on both sides have worked great for me.
