Started getting sleeve filled in, sadly, multiple sittings and some of the ink didnt want to take and needs to be touched up.

Love the cross, that is sick. How do you guys come up with designs? I can't seem to explain what I want done, yet I have no art skill to draw what I want myself?

The cross I found on google images, slightly altered to what me and the artist discussed. Not a whole lot to it, just find something you want and talk to the artist.

yip, Burton - look at styles and designs you like (not the colours!). take as much reference as you can along to give the artist an idea of what you like/want.

Good advice. I like looking through all of these. I haven't been inked before, so it's all new to me.

I haven't been able to find anything that really resembles what I want, so I am trying to get in touch with an artist friend I have to see if he can sketch something up for me before I go in.

Yes Jewells is a real place but it is not like it used to be. Up until the Mid 1990's it was a gas station, gun shop and a bar all under the same roof. It was the only place where I could get a beer after work (I worked 3rd shift at the time). The bar was open if the gas pumps were turned on. So I used to stop in there at 730am and have a beer on the way home from work.

When the business changed hands from the father to the sons, the in ground fuel tanks weren't up to current standards and the son couldn't get the FFL transferred to his name. (this is second hand info, I don't have direct contact with the ownership)

Now they sell Beer and Bullets... and some of the old heads come in and bullshit. It really is a tiny little dive bar but I like to pop in from time to time for a beer or two.( I also have to renew my gun club membership there as well)
