Thanks xtreme6669. I imagine one of the reasons there is a lack of info for the 1125's is because they're the newest bikes aside from EBR stuff and I don't think HD sold very many before shutting everything down. They are amazing machines though and I'm jealous.

We just need a few, strong, dedicated leaders to continuously contribute content to the 1125 sections and it will grow. If we make a home for 1125's here maybe the fragmentation will subside and a really great resource will start being built.

Dave's working on something for the header image to both welcome the BF.com people and more quickly show that we cater to all Buell models.
 
He's right - that stuff was pretty cutting edge - Blast Wise - Don't care about the purchase, if you lost that info, then your purchase was worthless - the manuals, and how to articles alone are priceless, then all the other wild stuff - lol

@ezblast - Doing the best I can to get the info back for all in some way. If I only paid $1 would you still say it was worthless? The price was right and my intentions were to consolidate an already niche Buell community, give buellxb.com branding flexibility for the future and save BF.com from another fate. I was the second person that bought the forum from the original owner BTW. If it wasn't us buying it, who knows.

that info. i think, wasn't even part of purchase. he is trying to retrieve it, as a favor, for you blast guys. if buellxb wouldn't have purchased buellforums all your info. would have been lost anyways when the former owner just let the site die. no trying to be a dick, but deal with it, everything is gonna' be ok. ok? (sorry to butt in, just my 2 cents)
 
I have been keeping my mouth shut but now I think I wont. I understand it sucks y'all lost your forum and now you're redirected here and I hate it that you lost your info and would be devistated if it happened to us. Now with that being said it seems as some of you have chosen to get angry and down right rude toward people here, if you came to my house and acted the way SOME (Not all) of you had I would knock you out and drag you to the street! True BuellXB Admin said PM him ideas you had about how to improve the forum, he didn't say hey attack all the hard work I have done and call it ****! Sorry we dont have all the information on the blast and dont have this that and the other. We like open communications and dont have IM I have it on other Boards I am on and never have used it! Just my two cents and maybe I am being defensive of my HOME!!!! Welcome to all who have come to us now hope you make it your home and improve the Blast section and the rest of it! But remember you are moving into a home others have been in for years!!
 
I feel like the two sites are divorced people getting remarried and there are 500 kids on both sides about to become family not at there own will. Not saying it is a bad thing. I just think it is funny listening to these new members talking how much the site needs
Improving. Personally I like the site the way it is. It's very easy to get around on and the people on here are pretty cool. Please everyone don't turn this into a bitchfest because if I wanted to read stuff like that I would have joined a forum of nothing, but women on the rag bitching about nonsense.
 
can any one tell me how to upload some pdf files and word documents , ether to my profile or how to post theme . (maybe this feature could be added ? )

i have pdf's on static timing , carb info etc

Yeah I don't think anyone should come here with an attitude towards you guys, it was not your fault with what happened. Its just a raw deal all around. But that is beating a dead horse now since I said it about 7 times in this thread lol.

I don't think EZ was meaning any disrespect about the purchase being worthless, but I do agree with him on that. If the purchase was made for the domain name alone it will bring in very little income because you won't bring the members over like you wanted. The main reason people go to forums is for content and our former site was the main source of blast info on the internet and no other site had a section like ours.

Please don't get upset I honestly mean no disrespect either, That just my view as a business major :D
 
I don't blame you for being irritated, Kuntreeboy. This is your guy's site and were the newbies. I'm surprised by some of the comments. Buellforums was always a laid back site, and we've been known to kick out the jerks. Most of the bf forum guys are cool, I think y'all will think so too once we settle in. Glad to be here, just need to find a lot of my cached how-to post and repost them here.

As BuellXB stated earlier, thats obviously important and traffic helps, but its really about the big picture down the road. If EBR gets back into production and decides to utilize this forum/brand in any way. Potential future profits I think is the true strategy here.

And I think it's time the back and forths end!?! I say that respectfully to all! I think everyone on this forum welcomes anyone who comes here to help, regardless if y'all were forced over here or not! Its always good to gain new perspectives, insight, and ideas! [up]
 
I dont think I have been on another buell forum in atleast 1 or 2 years now. BuellXB.com all the way here. it is on the top of my favorites on all my computers and phone .

I agree netty, we should get to know each other better and become friends. and your right I don't know the details of the transaction so my comments were prolly way off basis. for that I apologize.

And I really hope EBR makes a come back because I never had the chance to buy a new buell off the show room floor like I wanted..... I would of loved an XB or 1125cr... damn layoffs... my blast was my learner from my training class and I fell in love but wanted another one down the road but HD screwed that up lol
 
As a guy that owns a Blast and an XB, I would say BuellForums.com would be a better choice. I always preferred BuellForums.com to buellxb.com.

As with just some dude, I want all the old post up here for the Blast. If you cant or won't I will not be spending much time here.

I love my xb, but the Blast is more fun to modify.
 
Here's my opinion(not that anybody cares lol).

I found buellxb through a google search after buying my firebolt. It's a good forum. I agree it does not have many "extras" however it also loads instantly. I know and understand that all buells are welcomed here, however it is clear that it is geared towards the XB models. I have never been to the buellforums(or badweather) other than a few times when searching for something specific on google, so can't comment on them. I also belong to another forum buelletinboard and honestly think that is the better of the forums. This may just be because many of the active users on there live in the same area as me, and I get great input from them, I'm not sure if it'd be different if they weren't there.

My point is, the fact that "XB" is in the forum name is really irrelevant if all buells are welcome. I still think the forum currently is geared towards XB models though.

I'd recommend changing the forum to gear it towards all current, past, and future buell and EBR models. Whatever the name is doesn't matter, if the content is good people will come. Heck it could probably be called "Sportster and Rotax engines in tube and aluminum frames forum" but if it had all the great buell info people would still be here, just might be a bit hard to remember the website... :)

I agree and to be honest the new banner looks like ****. Way to busy. If someone doesnt visit the site just cause of the name then we wouldnt want them on here anyways.

Right when you get to the home page you can clearly see all of the sub sections that are for all the buells.
 
^I agree. Too busy, can't read the models. IMO it should just say something like "New home of buellforums.com and everything buell" or "The forum for all buell models".

Or something like that...if you really want it on the banner.
 
Loki there is allot of people that visit the site we dont want here already!!! hahahahahaha yeah the banner kind of threw me off but not bad enough I wouldnt view the website! But I see what BuellXB was doing, trying to make sure all those who were redirected knew what they were coming too!! I dont understand people saying if he cant or wont get the info from the other site they wont stay? If Blast's are so important to you wouldnt you wanna rebuild that valuable info??? Hell I never rode a blast and I would love to help in any way to build that data up!!!
 
I'd like to see a better Blast section over here. I like some of the modded ones I've seen. Heck wouldn't mind finding a dirt cheap one and doing a cafe racer style bike one day. I know there's not a lot of stuff on here and there are limitations to how we can post, search and attach things. Frustrating sometimes.
