DIY Brembo Rear Master Cylinder

Buellxb Forum

Help Support Buellxb Forum:

Just completed this mod to my bike today, with all new parts from "dream-duc" off ebay, new matser and ducati push rod, the only issue i had was the Buell brake switch was M10x1.25 and the Duc/Brembo was M10x1.00, so had to buy a new brake switch

But the M6 Helicoils, a few SS washers and a spring to hold the pedal and your done, very easy mod

Can chuck up some completed pics if wanted, i got a little fussy with my spring etc

Okay, I'm hoping that those who have transplanted master cylinders are still paying attention.

What diameters are the OE MC and the various Brembo MCs? The master cylinder that was originally fitted with the Duc 916 caliper I used was apparently 11 mm. I've not been able to determine what diameter the OE one is OR what size the Nissin one that I have a shot at (from a Triumph) is. If I go for this swap, I want to be sure to move in the right direction size-wise.

THX!

I know I'm digging up an old thread here.

I haven't been happy with the rear brake performance since I did the Brembo hidden rear caliper mod maybe a year ago. So now I have 2 Brembo PS13 rear master cylinders coming. One is like the unit used at the beginning of this thread with a remote reservoir. The other is the same unit but has an integral reservoir as referenced here..

Can anyone think of a reason not to use the master cylinder with the integral reservoir?
