The ring end gap has to be large enough not to pinch the rings and damage the cylinders. My xb9 uses 1/2 quart or less in 3k miles.(has 15k on it) My liqiud cooled 1125r never loses any.(has 10k on it)

T TooFst Well-known member Joined Jul 20, 2009 Messages 1,302 Dec 4, 2010 #24 O7bolt had a good point. I forgot about " blow-by". If your air filter has oil, alot of oil, on it. You have bigger problems.
