well crap.... maybe lefox can send me some good pics so i can fab one? please?!

thanks for the info

You can get basically the same airbox delete kit from ASB: ASB Airbox Delete Kit

Or you can DIY by cutting the outline out of your inner airbox cover, it's been done.

...and there's the elusive F.A.S.T. kit.

Didn't realize how much difference, but you're right, it's quite a bit - including pricing. :p

what's this F.A.S.T. intake all about?
Allows more air to be sucked in a lot more freely since the inner airbox is permanently removed. Also, with the heat shield replacing the lower part of the airbox, the engine heat is kept out allowing cooler, faster flowing air going in the intake. ;)[up]

aha!

You guys really do have all the good stuff across the pond. Does the forum do group buys at all?

haha well, since i dont speak german, and they dont ship to the states, i guess i'll have to make one.... search for materials begins.

the thing you need to get it the velocity stack...that's the part that makes the difference. ;)

well, it's included in the fast kit...you can't get them as a seperate part

ok, so i ordered the spec ops heat sheild, and to my utter disbelief, PepBoys carry the whole K&N line, and they had the perfect sized cone filter. it actually fits into the stock rubber boot. i'll send some pics when i get the heat sheild installed.

Nice thread! I can't wait to see the pics as well, I have been trying to decide witch way to go on a new filter and this may be my best option yet. Please do list part numbers as well.

And I agree you guys overseas get all the best aftermarket parts for these bikes! Its really no fair >.>
