Firebolt Lowering Kit

Buellxb Forum

Help Support Buellxb Forum:

Oh its lower my friend.... much lower:D. I'm 5'5 as well. I'll probably do this mod someday, but I'm going to get my bike on a dyno first. I dont mind sliding my butt over a bit to touch the ground

here's an example of a xbs-r that's been lowered to fit a 5' girl.
she can now place both feet almost 100% flat on the ground.

That one is just lowered in the rear. Looks like its pretty slammed though! [up]

Let her know to buy the front forks. Then it will be a little more stable.

Buellpartsguy, do you know of any parts that I can use to lower my 03 xb9s, I just got it and am still unfamiliar with any difference between specific years of XBs.

Thanks
Bryan

speaking for BPG, the lowering is the same as the firebolt mentioned earlier in this post. You need a few parts

Left Fork - J0121.1AE

Right Fork - J0122.1AE

Rear Shock - K0410.1AE

Kickstand - L1167.1AE

Lower Triple Clamp - J0106.02A8C

Thanks very much, sorry if the question seems redundant, I'm just getting into these bikes and haven't had the chance to do the hard research as of yet.

THANKS!!
Bryan

Are the part numbers the same for all XB12s's? I have a '04, and I'm 5'2 95lbs and would love some better footing. My Harley guys say they know of no way to lower. So I can really call you and you can get me my parts? Will you be able to tell my Harley guys how to put it together?

The install is very simple. If they are Harley Mechanics, I would sure hope they can do it.

Only certain years need new lower triple clamps, due to the fact that the ones newer than '05 changed the outer diameter on the stock height model forks as compared to the CG forks.

The first firebolt that was lowered looks really good! Makes me want one now, maybe when I can afford to own another Buell.

Question to BuellPartsGuy:
I have a 09 SCG right now, is there anyway to drop the front end a little bit? I'm fine with the stock ride height, but I'm thinking it'll give it a meaner stance to have the front end abit lower. If not its no big deal though, just random ideas that went through my head when I saw the lowered Firebolt. :)

buell parts guy i work for ride now. i suppose we are fellow employe's,so all i would need is scg forks and lower tree.and i was curouis about the rear shock why is there such a big gap in price from 275-950$

Depends on where I would order it. The more expensive on I order from Works Performance. Custom shocks cost some major dough. The stock one is the cheapest but not the absolute lowest.

Which RideNow corporate juggernaut extension do you work for? lol

07 XB9R Lowering Kit

Left Fork - J0121.1AE

Right Fork - J0122.1AE

Rear Shock - K0410.1AE

Kickstand - L1167.1AE

Lower Triple Clamp - J0106.02A8C
Is this parts list current for 07 XB12r as well? I tried looking up a suspension comparison but Buell no longer lists the 07 xb9r specs. I called the local HD/Buell shop and they confirmed suspension part numbers for the 07 xb12/9r are the same. If that's the case I would assume that your listing applies to the 12r as well. I've finally saved up enough funds to start the ball rolling on this project and just want to make sure I order the right parts. Thanks in advance for your help.

I have an 09 XB12Ss and would like to do the 09 Scg lowering kit. Want to keep the all black look, so I'm assuming the other parts number you posted for older models would not work. I did see in the specs that the Ss has 43mm forks, and the Scg has 41mm. Went to the dealer and told them what I wanted to do. They said they had done this before and that it didn't change anything. That sounds like ignorant BS to me. Just looking at the pics you can see the Scg is lower. If BPG has done this with other year models, why would it be any different for the 09s? Am I correct in assuming this? If yes, BPG could you please let me know the parts I need and respective numbers for the 09s to do this. Thanks :)
