Thanks. Can you answer my other questions?

You're welcome. I'm not affiliated in any way with this fix so unfortunately not although there isn't much room in there to leave the lips in tact so I suspect they must be removed. I'll let the guys making this answer that...

Thanks for helping out 50!
I am unsure when production will resume...he hurt his hand bad enough that his Dad got a hold of me. We don't want to see you lose time riding so we will get things rolling ASAP! As soon as I hear word from rrbuell I'll let you all know!
This kit was designed as a fix for a broken lip on the primary cover. If the lip is intact it will need to be removed in order to use this kit.
I recommend sanding/grinding it down if you want to use the kit we offer.
I would not recommend just prying on the lip with some pliers...the ramp assembly applies pretty even pressure on the lip as opposed to pin point pressure from pliers. Who knows where it will break if you just start reefing on the lip!
Mine broke with 12,000 miles during adjustment and I believe rrbuell got about 20,000 miles.
Believe of or not the ramp assembly sits at about the same height as before it broke, +/-0.010".
We use the inspection cover screw holes as a guide for the for the plate in the kit to fasten down to. You may need to sand/grind down the original inspection cover screws after you tap the new holes and fasten the plate with the included titanium screws.

Hope this helps! Thanks for the interest!

If im not mistakin....i should be the first guy to get the "mod" once he is back up and running. I will post pics during the process. it seems good to me since i spend most of my riding just shifting but at the the last end of my ride its a clutch grabber due to the texters and ****** cops directing traffic in New hope PA...lol...i dont trust anyone behind me in traffic..just to make you all feel a bit warm and fuzzy.... i know my way around micrometer and have many degrees in mechanics. I just wish i thought of this before they did...haha

Guys really sorry I haven't been on the forum...its been kinda hectic here. Just heard from Rob and he's doing better and getting physical therapy for the hand. Said he should be getting orders out this week. Sorry about the delay! If you've emailed us we have returned your messages.

I hate being treated like that after buying items [down] just get a refund with PayPal and move on

Update!
I now have access to a CNC Machine...I'm really excited! I will be designing the kits to be cut out on it this weekend. I hope to get things shipped by the weekend of the 22. I will keep everyone posted through out the week. Emails were just sent to those who emailed me.
I am sorry it has taken so long to get these kits out! Robert was supposed to be doing the fabricating but I haven't been able to get a hold of him so it's just me now. Not a problem though, I think this is a better way to make these anyway.
Also, I am trying to come up with a different name for these kits...Buell Fix Kit sounds kinda weird to me. I've come up with The Flack Fix and the The Buell PC Fix. Try and think of a name we can call this kit...

Thanks for your patience everyone!

I have seen people do that but it usually requires using a mill to get the lip back after building up with aluminum weld. I suppose you could do a preventative weld around the original lip (if still intact) but in the end its still cast aluminum...

I think it deserves asking what is your response to the above issue? Seems someone already placed an order and waited months without response. I think you should address the issue publicly if you expect anyone to have confidence ordering something from you. Feb 15th you said orders were going out that week. It's a month and a half later. What happened? Did they get their parts, or a refund...or screwed?

Good point snrusnak...
I received two orders back to back the beginning of January. I had made arrangements with Robert (rrbuell) prior to setting up an order form to have him fabricate the kits and I would take care of all the logistics. He said he was gonna get right after it and didn't. I finally get ahold of him a month later only to find out he hurt his hand and couldn't get the kits done right away. Another month goes by and I haven't heard anything from him and the customers hadn't heard anything either...people are starting to get pissed, and rightfully so! So I call him one more time, leave a message and start it all on my own. I still don't know what happened to him and still haven't heard from him! I am very sorry this happened to the customers and that you all were led on a bunny trail of what looked like a scam. I have three orders by the door with labels to ship tomorrow. I hope this doesn't hurt my name too badly...I will always strive to be a man of integrity.

Id like to add, after Dave took over solo, it has been nothing but great communication and regular updates. I should have it tomorrow, and will post pics before and during the install. After a good amount of emails back and forth, I would feel confident to order another on from him.[up]
