Hopefully somebody can help me, i seen another bike the other day and aside from the standard brake light it had a strip of LED's and when he hit the brakes the strip flashed while the standard stayed solid. It made the bike very noticable from behind. I was wondering how i could make a led strip flash when i hit my brakes. Any ideas? The other bike was a brand new harley. Thanks in advance

Sounds like a built in relay, could be done with a little electronics know how. I'm thinking all you'd have to do is tap into the stock brake wires, with some sort of relay? I rode with my buddy's dad who had a road king, those flashing brake lights are awesome! [up]

I wonder if just a turn signal flasher would work. I still have my stock one i could mod so it didnt rapid flash

It's the same concept hit switch to give it power the turn signal relay
makes it flash in theory it should work. Wiring it up would be the tricky part. I say go for it and if it work post a how to for others if they want to do it

I have that setup. I used a back-off flasher and wired it to flash the LED strip at a different rate than the stop light. The LED and the XB Lights really light it up.
