Yeah!!! She wants a bike black and pink she's gotta buy one!!! Course she has been deploed 6 months so bout 6 hours after she gets home I will be brain dead and give her whatever she wants!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA

Any new ideas? Anyone like any certain grips? I been looking at the Ride it moto's? Even looking at there slide flip levers. Input?

thrst I saw those but I could justify another 300 dollars!!! I'll wait and find someone round here getting rid of some maybe a little damage or something minor!! For that price I will just order my Showy cover

u can paint red candy over amber rims and it will be turn out red. red is dominant it will be just one shade darker but most people wud never no. i painted a set of rims black with a fade to blue clue candy towards center cud use red instead wud look awesome. u can use a universal matting agent in most any clear u want to use. for rims i suggest ppg dcd35 very tough clear. ppg makes their own flattener if u go this route

I saved my amber rims to sell g3 cause I keep seeing everyone so in love with the ambers. The wheel's I got are silver so I kinda think they are a blank canvas. I have NOOOOOOOOO painting skills and wouldn't do them cause It would look like my crude drawing above!!! I am debating on the red I want cause I like the old Hot Rod truck/Rod looks with the flat black and deep rich red? Not a candy I think but I dont know what it is? There is a Brantley Gilbert music video where his Microphone is Flat black with red in the slots. I would really love to find that color red!!!

Are you planning on doing the whole bike flat black? Aren't you a LEO kuntreeboy? My bike used to be black and red, and as many know, I did the switcheroo. Since I switched to white, I rarely get cut off. I blame that on the lack of visibility your bike has when it's such a dark color. IMO, black is too dangerous and will get in you a position you don't want to be, like sandwiched between two cars. Then again, it's pretty sexy and it may just as well get you sandwiched in between two "woo girls". Hmm... decisions. :D

Yeah dave it is a tough call!! I have been an LEO for 13 years I am taking a year sabatical to figure out what I wanna do right now tired of dealing with all the BS of it!! But I do know what you mean bout the visibility, I wear reflective gear but down here on the GULF COAST you could have flashing lights a bull horn and giant waving flags and these people will try to run you over!!! We have been riding in our club (I'm the only non traditional HD) of about 30 bikes and had numerous people try to run us over!!! My head is constantly on a swivel! I do all I can not to put myself in the bad positions but you know how hard that is with other non drivers round!!

See, you know what I mean. It seems like LEOs are the most cautious because of all of the crap they've seen.

Bright headlights are a big plus. Those cheapo LED strips that I put on my bike actually helped a lot too. One of my next projects is to convert my blinkers to running lights.

The most important things to do, which I'm sure you know, is to always have an exit route and never ride next to a car. I'm in CA, and I take advantage of the fact that I can split. To me, that's the safest time to pass because a car isn't going to merge into another car. When I do pass or go through, I do it as fast as possible. It makes a ton of noise and limits the time the cager has to do something stupid.

But all of my dumb riding habits and excuses don't compare to just being visible. One thing you could do is have a vinyl cutter like Matter cut you some reflective flat black decals. They'll blend right in, then light up like a light when headlights hit them.

Yeah that could work dave? Might look cool, one thing I do to help driver's realize I am there is to use my size 15 to kick there mirror off when they come in my lane!!! HAHAHAHAHA I am only serious...... But yeah I am looking at alot of different options to play with the color scheme I am wanting and the look I am going for!! Plus when the wife gets home from deployment I am going home to SE TN and gonna drive the 15 minutes away to Hawk's to get my pipe re-dided!!!!! Gonna be sweet!!!!

I have a painter that says he can use that reflective you're talking about to do some of my muralstic tattoos all the way down my plastics. That way I can stay black and red but be visible after dark? Any idea if this actually works? Also, I saw a full R-type ferring set Eric Buell did for the XB12R. Has anyone ever seen this for sale aftermarket? And last (biggest) question... I just paid off my Bolt so it's time to start upgrading. Any ideas for boosting performance but keeping it good for street use?

Halfbread your new so I wont get angry bout thread jacking!! HAHA, but as far as performance, get you a HAWK pipe get the ECM maps from him, K&N filter Right Side Scoop to start. That should help her breath fire a little better!!!!

I call dibs on the amber rims.....if you decide to sell and you are relatively close to NC! I know Im new, but your bike looks good just the way it is. That being said, customization is cool as long as its done spot on. Good luck!

i hate my ambers but hate to paint for myself more!lol id rather ride. i painted my bike with rattle cans and by day i custom paint bikes. ironic yes
