This on a street bike is like when I see guys in front of me taking a corner at 35-45MPH and putting their Knee down like its a track day. (KISS) If your a semi or pro racer it makes sense. The biggest advantage to a reverse shift pattern on the track is that upshifts are easier while you're hung off the bike exiting a corner. This applies to both left/right corners...for different reasons. FYI there are world champions who never adopted the "Race or Track" pattern. The huge disadvantage of using both or even knowing both is... Ta Da when it goes wrong and you have a brain fart... highside.
Nobody ever says "Hey wanna do a reverse shift pattern like MOTO GP... It increases your chances of highsides and tank slappers... also beats the piss out of your tranny lol"
