I too just got off the phone with Randy. One of the nicest guys you will talk too! I will be taking mine off tonight and sending it out this week! I asked about the loudness in comparison to a hog with drags and he said it wasnt that loud. I guess I will take loud over medium then!:D

Is there a price difference with the single chrome outlet as opposed to the dual black outlet?
 
Bonechip it isn't deafening loud. It is enough to get attention but not so much that I dread riding the bike like I did with a jardine.

Was the same for me but you'll want to work that out with him...mine was stainless not chrome BTW...I'd go that route if I were you. Chrome will probably rust eventually...
 
Yeah I like the look of it. I want to get a new muffler I just dont want my bike to be down. LoL
 
Buy a donor pipe and have it shipped directly to Randy...That's what I did![up]
 
I found one on ebay but it went for over $150 bucks. Thought I was gonna get it cheap. It started at like $30.
 
Ouch! Got mine for $70!! Keep your eye out (or post a WTB ad) for one on here. They show up from time to time.
 
anybody with the Hawk pipe have decel popping around 3000RPM? I don't have it above 3000RPM but when I let off and let it get below that it pops like crazy. Anybody have any idea how to stop or slow this? Also, I don't know if I am getting all the power out of my XB12R that the pipe is suppose to harness. I have the Race ECM and K&N installed as well. Should I do a TPS reset? Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks everybody.:)
 
Yep, I get a lot of decel pop on mine. Not really sure I want to stop it. So I'm not sure how. You could probably tune it out through the fuel mapping by taking some fuel out on higher rpm lower TPS, but I've never tuned so I couldn't really tell you where to take it out or how much.
 
I've got it too, it's running rich on decel. Some fuel mapping is in order. Yes do a TPS reset for sure but loading a race map or a custom map will help with power and popping. Talk to Randy, his tuner friend Bruno has maps made for the 12 and the Hawk pipe.
 
TPS didn't change it. Maybe a change in the map that shuts down fuel feed on decel above 2K.

Personally, I like the popper. Mucho Badasso.

A woman almost cut me off on the highway today. She realized at the last minute she was in an "exit only" lane. Clear she attended the "The Other Guy Has Brakes" school of offensive driving.
Not sure if being blond had anything to do with how bad she was driving.
 
Got my Hawk back last night. LOVE IT!!!! Never before has it the wheel just come off the ground with just straight giving it gas. I also have the popping and I love that too. Anyone that has ever owned a car with a big block and aftermarket exhaust has learned to love that sound.
