Sorry guys, no I did not read through 7 pages, I probably should have been more patient. Damn thing is pissing me off...I fucked up the connector so I think its a bit late for even attemting it again until I get a new one

hmmm i have a headlight indicator always on issue...

i did the 2 lights on mod last year... will check to see if the connector is damaged in any way. also i have no idea where the ground wires are connected on my 2007 Lightning XB12SS(Long)

fixed my issue the grounding wire had snapped so re grounded it to the head stem...

On a firebolt when the high beam is turned on the low beam stays on as well, it is already done from the factory.

After doing this mod, are both headlights still on the same fuse? My high beam recently stopped working and after changing the bulb it is still not working. I assumed the fuse is good since the low beam still works but do not know if this is a correct assumption due to the mod being done.

no the low beam gets moved to the "acc" circuit. the high beam stays on the same circuit though;

I got my '06 XB12Ss yesterday and I'm gonna do this mod ASAP. My only question is does the flash button still work on the left grip?

This forum ROCKS! I did this mod in a bout 10 minutes thanks to the pictures and detailed instructions you guys posted. My next project is installing a power port near the handle bars for my cell/music/gps. I did it on my Road King and its great!

Finally got around to doing this. The wires were a little aggravating getting out but I managed it, worked great! Now i wont have people flashing their lights at me all the time. Great write up [up]

Had to replace my turn signal flasher relay because the turn signals are not always working all the time. Once I had the front cowl off did the headlight mod and it literally took 5 min. to do. Thanks a bunch for the quick procedure.
