headlights wont turn on

the instrument cluster shows as the hi beam being on, but neither light is lit. also, the switch doesn't shut up the hi beam indicator light, and the button to flick you hi beams on doesn't work either. any ideas?

Check your fuses first, then look for a short in the wires.

fuses are ok, I don't really see anything showing a short. what else could I check for?

I had this problum and after looking at the wiring diagram I found the starter relay loose, it is in the box on the left side of the steering head under the cover you will find 3 relays. I just cleaned the terminals and wa la she works now.
