My Arai Profile is my favorite helmet and I have tried quite a few from HJC, Shark, Vega. Never tried an Icon, or Bell. The Arai is super comfy and the wind is so quiet.

I have the Gmax as well. I love it. It does a pretty good job at moving air both inside and outside. Its also more stable than previous helmets I have had, not to mention looks sweet.

does anyone have a joe rocket rkt101? if felt perfect in the store but on the road? im also looking for info on anyone who has the new dirtbike style helmet with a face sheild instead of goggles. it looks like a great idea for my supermoto when its cold.

i almoast bought a carbon helmet ,but i was told in the store from a few guys including a racer that it ecoed inside bad compared to a regular helmet..true?

The padding and fitment should be the factor on added noise. The shell isn't going to let more or less noise pass through. It seems if a helmet fits proper and has enough padding the noise shouldn't be an issue.

My Osbe helmet fits well, but since it is actually a 3/4 helmet with a rubber chin, it is loud as hell, my HJC doesn't fit very great and is also pretty loud. My other full face helmets are all tamed since they fit much better and have good padding.

I have the ICON Variant... LOVE it!!!

I came really close to buying the variant, but was concerned about it catching wind and whipping my head back, you have any problems with it?

Instead I bought this,

Let us know how that JR carbon is. It's made for them by HJC. I tried one on, and liked it a lot, but there's no way to know about noise until you ride.

Im a helmet whore

I wrote some long-ish reviews on the Shoei and the Shark for sport-touring.net if anybody is interested, but basically I was very happy with the shark and unimpressed with the shoei, even when comparing it to my scorpion

for the photochromatic or whatever it's called, i've had a wiki for a couple years and although the owner through in an updated visor for the helmet, the chemicals wear off and doesn't really last all that long depending on how much light their subject to in riding and in storage and never clean them with anything with nothing but water. it's a great idea but try and do your homework on the visor before you get one. i just want to get a new one with the flip down inner visor now. and from what i'm reading, not so sure i want to do the hjc. my wife has the exo 900 but really hasn't used it that much to see how it does on noise and such.

Scorpion Exo Kamikazi- Nice but has rough cheek pads.
Airoh Tr1- great looks but poor protection.
Icon Mainframe Rockets Dead Glare- great for the money.
HJC CS Look12- first helmet, good for the money.
Scorpion Exo 1000- cool gadgets but keeps falling apart the helmet itself just sucks plus it's loud.
HJC Golden Skulls-awesome helmet no complaints!
AFX Dualsport- cheap helmet bad distortion in the middle of the shield but is cool in the summer and I like the looks cool IMO.
Skin Motocross- awesome for the money $50 at cycle gear nice in the summer also.

My next helmet is going to be the Tommy Gun Arai if anyone has an XL they want to sell let me pm me!

HJC IS-16. I really like having the internal sun shield.
I got the stickers off of eBay and they look flat black with out the flash.

I'd recommend Royal Distributing. I live near there. No idea what their shipping would be but their prices are good.

There's a good sale on at http://www.canadasmotorcycle.ca/ with free shipping.

I've never dealt with them. I've just been looking around.

There's somebody around your area that is selling Buell helmets on ebay. The one model is actually an AGV S-4, the other is a KBC. He's selling lower than the US sellers but they've still gone for too high a price in my opinion. I've been outbid on the AGV twice.

I havent been on a ride with it yet [mad]. It got cold here and I had the bike apart the last critical few weeks above 50* when the Helmet finally arrived, so no riding impressions on it yet, but it fits great, the fit and finish is fantatsic and is extremely comfortable so far. Looking at it, it deffinetly looks like a high end helmet!

Givi Xplus comfort. Modular helmet, internal sun visor, excellent flow, lightweight, and very high quality. The bad? Not available in usa, so no DOT, but it is ECE. If you scratch the visor, you have to replace the whole front module, and its a little expensive.
