I got my 2005 xb9r with less than 7000 miles on it, new tires, new battery, and a helmet for $2,500.

I'd say you got a damn good deal. I just sold my 07 Uly for $3,500. It had some custom work done that may or may not have increased the value, but it had 13,000 miles on it and it had been laid down. And yes, the buyer was made aware that the bike had been damaged, but had a clean title.

^yeah I did, that's why I jumped on it. I did drive ~3 hours to pick it up, and the battery died when I went to get it, so that's why he had to buy a new battery for me to see that it ran good, and granted it had a few cosmetic issues. Definitely worth it though. My wife told me not to get another bike until I had sold my suzuki but when I saw the buell at that price(was about all I could afford) I jumped on it. She was pissed as hell when I drove away in the morning but when I pulled up and she saw how nice it was and how good of a deal it was she had a smile on her face. I sold the suzuki within a few weeks and nearly made that 2,500 back. The suzuki was a 600cc, had over 30k miles, and wasn't in as good of shape. So I upgraded a lot.
