Hey guf where are u located..I would be on this thread rite now singing buells praises if my bike didnt have the problems it has had..I loved the bike when it was runnin rite..knowone else had one,it would beat my buddys speed triple now and then but we were real closley matched.It sounds like a beast with the barker..only problem is the piece of crap left me stranded....AGAIN
 
Australia,no probs since rewind,bike flies now,like I said fix it and all good,enjoy mine now.
 
HD dont give a **** about Buell!!!Dont know what Erick did 2 piss them off so Im on my own with fixing all my problems.
 
I know your greif paid $15,000 with a fried stater,think I was inprdessed,no help from dealler.but battled with problems,think I have fixed problems.Good luck with yours!:D
 
Really? 10k motorcycles for 40k? I think you need to research the cost of developing a motorcycle, the cost of making your own carbon fiber, etc etc etc. The 1190 RS is not and never will be a 10k bike. One could argue it isn't worth 40k but the point is that, according to every article I've come across, it is worth every last penny of its price.

Also Guff and gaucher19 - how old are you and is english your first language? I ask because of the excessive lack of maturity and ability to type.

Dude chill out, I wasn't using exact figures. If I were I wouldn't have said $40k either. But if he takes the bike into mass production it won't be a $40 bike. Therefore it's not a $40k bike. Right now its a collectible....for $40k. A bad ass performance machine collectible I might add!

And I don't don't need to research the costs of research because I don't care enough to know the costs of research. I sell medical equipment, I don't calculate the cost of research.

The point of the post wasn't to discuss the cost of Erik Buells research, it was offering my humble opinion on why he isn't setting up a team to repair all of the fouled stator issues. It wasn't his choice to dissolve Buell, it was HDs. And he doesn't work for HD Buell anymore. Kind of similiar to the fact that I don't sweep the floors of the bagel shop I used to work for when I was 14. I don't work for them anymore.

Although from reading others posts throughoutl the forum, I understand he's very willing to help resolve any Buell related issues you might have.

I'd have to respectfully disagree with your statement here! I know you're trying to, but just sell the bike and move on my friend! It's not worth all the stress this has obviously caused you. [up] Glws!

This is just not true, Erik was rushed into bringing the 1125 to production by Harley, he always wanted to build the 1190. As such he probably got certain parts that didn't get tested as he would have liked. If HD did not axe Buell those problems would have been remedied.
