WELPSIES!! I got a fix for your problem. After much research and development-- (10 minuets and three beers worth) I have a fix, I will even build the kit! First, take a trailer, then a stator from an airplane, etc, a real big one! Mount and ride!

Ebr is selling a fix. Its basically the 08 stator....buy it fix it. Like a 1 hr job with the right parts. And quit complaining. The charging system is the weak part of the bike but from what I see might be the only one.

i like that but it should be a snap-on truck behind the bike a stator will fit under your seat,,,:p

stator sent to be rewound,,when bike is fixed I will put in the race ecm and a new back tire, and it will be up for sale..if you like buell alot come buy it..I cant afford to burn it,,wish I could.I dont want it.

FYI, don't EVER buy a Jeep, they have the worst quirks. It's constantly something on them. Also, Chevrolet, they have the worst designed starter mounts ever. Or a Ford Ranger, the oil pan gasket is a total PITA, and it goes out a lot. Or a Kawasaki, I swear, I rebuild the carburetors every time the GF rides it... now that I think about it, don't ever buy any mechanical thing again as they all have their problems and quirks...

Wow what a thread. If you need help having the stator resound shoot me a pm.
I had mine off twice.

Traded my 1125r for a zx10r get this there where a few regulator issues and they recalled them..........

If riders were to make a bigger deal about it to HD maybe HD would do something about it. Its probably too little to late now.

HD doesn't give a damn. I know there are still some HD dealerships that are Buell friendly because those particular dealserships had a nice Buell customer base(and they're probably sitting on some Buell parts). But as for Harley Davidson caring about fixing a seemingly large scale problem on a bike from a company that 'no longer exists', not going to happen! Further they aren't worried about pissing off the Buell contingency, because as you see throughout the various Buell forums, genereally speaking Buellers aren't exactly HD's biggest supporters OR HD's target market. Again, generally speaking!

After reading this thread, im kinda scared of the amount of $$$$ i might spend on my 2009 1125cr..anyone fix minor problems or do simple mods in austin tx.??

The stator issue all started when the 08 1125's stator was not producing enough power + the battery drain from the cluster. So for the 2009, they decided to upgrade the power of the stator but keeping all the components that was designed for the 2008 stator. So... now you have a more powerful stator with inferior components.
EBR is offering a $175 +250 core exchange charge for a "modified" rotor. This rotor has a oil jet that sprays oil onto the stator to cool it and keep it from overheating. When the rotor mod became available on the site, they took off the $900 '08 stator as it is a more affordable fix and may probably solve the stator issue.

I have all the parts here and im planning to get this done for my 09 1125r later this week. Oh and I also replaced my VR with a compufire.

Really? 10k motorcycles for 40k? I think you need to research the cost of developing a motorcycle, the cost of making your own carbon fiber, etc etc etc. The 1190 RS is not and never will be a 10k bike. One could argue it isn't worth 40k but the point is that, according to every article I've come across, it is worth every last penny of its price.

Also Guff and gaucher19 - how old are you and is english your first language? I ask because of the excessive lack of maturity and ability to type.

Even Erik Buell understands that the $40k price tag of the 1190RS is ridiculous for most, but they have to hand build much of the bikes for now. The main reason they even put them out there is to meet the manufacture requirements for racing in the AMA Superbike series (in which they are already getting podium finishes). They're hoping for more investors and income so that they can get more affordable models out there to the public. Most of the $40k cost is for the research, development, and operating costs of the small company and to build capital for larger scale manufacturing so that they can get the costs of future models down. Their website discusses all of this.
